Amazing Stuff
Not only does this keep my favorite Minnetonka Suede shoes from warping in the frequent rain I get in Louisiana, but the Nubuck actually deepened the color of the suede and made it look even more gorgeous than before. Love this product! I used one bottle on two pairs of moccasins and still had some left over. Great buy and worth the extra protection on my favorite Fall shoes! Just don't forget to wipe off the excess you spray or the residue can discolor your suede in some spots (happened to a friend of mine).

nikwax nubuck and suede
Used these on a pair of La Sportiva Trango Treks with Gore-tex XCR. The shoes were getting some water even with the gore-tex liners when I hiked a long time in the snow. I used the Nikwax and the shoes lasted a four day camping trip in the deep snow without wetting out at all. Don't know how long it will last but it works for now. I had a pair of full grain Scarpa sl m3's and used the nikwax full grain on them for years and they didn't let a drop of water in and didn't lose any breathability so I'm pretty happy with Nikwax products.

Easy to Use and Effective
This a great product. Easy to use with only a very slight darkening of the nubuck. It penetrates the leather, rather than merely coating it, which makes it more effective, totally. Wiping with a damp cloth seems to aid in obtaining an even distribution with minimum waste of the solution.

Great product
I had never used this type of waterproofing before and was hesitant. I am so glad that I tried it because it is the best I have ever used! I applied it to leather and suede then wore the boots in Colorado snow and slush with wonderful results.

The Nikwax I purchased I can't really be sure if it's working properly because my boots havn't had any wet contitions yet to test the product out in. I wear them to work and it just hasn't rained or snowed yet but by other reviews I'm sure it'll work just fine. The only thing I'm disappointed in was I thought I was getting a spray on like the container said and what I thought I ordered but I recieved a sponge on. Other than that everything is just fine.

The best I've found
I searched high and low for a good waterproofer for my nubuck clogs--tried several kinds, including Dansko's spray-on type. None did much good, so I finally tried Nikwax Nubuck & Suede Waterproofing. It is excellent--not difficult to apply, and water beads up and rolls off my shoes now. As were other reviewers, I was concerned about dampening the nubuck before applying the Nikwax, but I shouldn't have worried. The shoes look nice, if a tiny bit darker--not noticable enough to dissuade me from using Nikwax in the future. This is a superior product, and worth every penny.

This product works well and is easy to apply. Make sure you wet the boots first to aid absorption.

easy, clean and effective
The product is easy to apply, is not messy like vaseline-type waterproofers, and works. It did not discolor or flatten the nubuck of my new Montrail Solitude boots. After letting it dry I poured water on the boots and it beaded up and rolled off. The container is easy to carry and appears to be leak-proof.

just necessary
I always use it to maintain my waterproof boots, especially in the wet winter. I believe they extend the life of my boots. Thanks to ALTREC. Their delivery is so efficient.

Restores as it repels
My boots are eight years old... got them when I first started boarding. I haven't washed them nearly as often as I would've liked to with the fear of drying the leather out, but luckily they were built so well that they have held up to much abuse. Instead of buying a new pair, I decided to try this product first since I liked my boots so much. This not only did it's job to waterproof (extremely well I might add), it restored the suppleness of the nubuck and made it look like new. I also used the Nikwax wash to clean out the GoreTex lining of the boot, but that's a different review. As I use Nikwax products more and more, I am starting to think that they are worth the price (they are a bit pricey... but they work the best for waterproof clothing.)

easy to apply; invisible barrier;excellent product
NIKWAX Nubuck & Sueda Waterproofing is the best product of its kind I have yet to encounter. It is very effective and yet, when applied to shoes, it does not discolor the nubuck or suede or flatten the nap. So easy to apply, too.
