If you horse around with trail stock or you need a safe and dependable treatment for restoring water repellency to your synthetic horse blankets, outdoor tarps and shelter material, this Nikwax Synthetic Rug Proof Fabric Care 25L reinforces fabric under the weather. It's even specifically formulated so it won't stifle Gore-Tex® and other breathable fabrics. The generous 845 oz capacity is more than enough to treat gear through several monsoon seasons.
Specifications

- When to use: apply to new or used horse rugs to keep items in perfect water-repellent condition

How to use:
- 1. Clean gear first with Nikwax Rug Wash before applying Nikwax Rug Proof (you don't have to wait for items to dry between cleaning and proofing)
- 2. Apply Nikwax Rug Proof in a hand wash either by sponge or by soaking or a more effective and thorough method is to apply this product in the washing machine on a synthetic wash cycle
- 3. Ensure even distribution of the active ingredients penetrating throughout the fabric.
- 4. Select a warm wash cycle
- 5. Rinse
- 6. Drip-dry or if care label allows, tumble dry on a low setting
Volume guide:
- To proof in a washing machine, use 500 ml for 1 rug/blanket; treat 1 per load
- To proof by hand, use 500 ml for 1 rug/blanket with 1.5 liters of hand-hot water

Use a garden sprayer to apply coating; did on my individual bug-out kit tents, let dry overnight on the lawn, hung and lastly used an outdoor water hose to puddle water while suspended - Wow! No leaking 30 minutes later.
