This stuff works!
Follow the directions and you'll be surprised at the results. The water beads up and the fabric feels new again. We used on some motorcycle gear and it really helped. It is pricey but I don't mind when something actually works as advertised.

Love this stuff!!
Prolongs the life of ski gear until you rip it or wear it out! Keeps us dry in the deep powder!

Product does exactly what it says it will...
For heavily soiled or worn garments, you might want to follow this product up with local spray-on TX-Direct in problem areas. For general garment DWR maintenance, this does an excellent job.

Product worked well. Used it on 4 year old pants and jacket. Revived the water proofing for both the pants and the jacket. Snow and water beads off like they are brand new. highly recommend the product

Great product
Used this to renew the DWR on my 4-5 year old snowboard pants. Worked great did not get wet at all and snow and water bead right off of pants. Definitely would buy this product again.

The only choice!
Truly the best choice if your outerwear is starting to lose its Water repellent qualities. Very easy to use. Don't forget to use Nikwax Tech Wash before.

This is a wonderful product that acts as advertised
I own 4 horses. Some are clipped and thus need rain sheets. After a year, the rain sheets loose their ability to repel water. I have treated up to 3 rain sheets at a time in my large front loader machine and had them all remain waterproof and breathable.

Maintenance
I maintain every other piece of equipment to the best of my abilities. Now I can maintain the water repellancy of my outwear. Who would have thought that was possible? TX-Direct from Nikwax re-delivers the performance I expected from my shell outwear.

It works!
I tested this on an old running jacket before I used it on a nicer one and it worked very well. It is simple to use, just drop in up to four garments you want to waterproof (inside and out. If you just want to water proof the outside, then get the sprayon kind) measure out the appropriate amount of liquid in a disposible cup and wash. I pulled my jacket out of the washer and hung it up to dry. When it was dry, I stuck the arm of the jacket under the sink faucet and the water beaded up and ran off the jacket. The bottle is pretty big, so you can probably wash four items three or four times. Using this is much cheaper than buying a new jacket each year.

Very satisfied; works great.
Easy to use and certainly waterproofed my Gortex jacket. After washing with Nikwax Tech Wash I then followed the instructions for applying the Direct Wash-in in my clothes washer. The jacket now has water bead up on it.

Works exactly as expected
My raingear is now about 12 years old - I generally wear it when riding a motorcycle and it had reached the point that in a heavy rain water went straight through it. Washed with an appropriate non-detergent cleaner and then with Nikwax and water just beads. This is actually the third time I've treated this suit - I'm probably not going to make a fourth because things are starting to fray badly but, no question, this stuff works. As an aside - I was a little concerned the first time I used it because, as a wash in product, what will it do to the washer and dryer. No problems. No effects whatsoever.

Good product
I have used this product for many years on ski parkas, a motorcycle riding suit, and other outdoor jackets with great success. It seems pricey at first, but it does a great job and is easy on the item for extended life. Buy the large size, you'll find may items to use it on.

Definitely works
This stuff waterproofs my snowboarding and hiking outerwear. It lasts about a dozen uses and takes two washes to put in: one to wash clean and then one to waterproof the cleaned garments. You wouldn't even know it's on but once the rain comes it wicks it away. It is totally transparent.

Great product!
I have never used a product like this before, I'm pleased so far, I thew some water on my jacket and pants and it beaded up. I have not tested the gear in the field yet, I feel confident that it will, be very waterproof. I can write you back, with field results, I'm also curious to see how long the treatment will last, I know that will depend on wear and tear and how I care for my garment.

Works well on Gore-Tex
I used this on my Gore-Tex Alpine Parka from The North Face. Although the wrong material (I should have purchased the spray on material) it did a great job of restoring the DWR of the fabric.

Fantastic and Easy
Nikwax again comes through as a product line with great results. I used Tx direct on a Mountain Hardwear piece that was acouple of years old and had lost its ability to shed water. The piece is as good as new

Not much to say. This stuff works.
This is the only product for re-waterproofing my coats and jackets that I've ever used, which is to say, I've never felt the need to look for anything else. It does what it's supposed to with little or now fuss. I even kind of like the way it smells , but I'm funny that way.

Even Dryer
After washing with Tech Wash, I decided to add some additional waterproofing to some older ski clothing. I could instantly see how it worked when pulled the clothes from the washing machine. Water really beaded up on the surface. I really need that because we get so many wet days here in the NW Cascades. Thanks.

recommended by Helly Hanson
When my Helly Tech raingear started to get tired I called Helly customer service about rewaterproofing, they told me simply to get Nikwax TX-Direct and do it myself. I've been a believer in Nikwax products ever since. It's quick,it's easy and it works!

great product, very good w/r restorer.
First became aware of this product when Helly Hanson customer service recommended it for use on some of their w/r gear that I owned. That was 5 years ago and I'm still a firm believer in the product.

Works well and I continue to purchase and use
I started using this last year after my "new" Columbia hunting jackets got very dirty. I think it came close to brining the jacket back to the original water repellency but maybe not 100%. I hunt in ALL weather 20+ days per season and the jacket takes a real beating. I also recommend the wash and this year I bought the spray on to try before really raining days.

not as good as Granger's
recently tried refurbishing two old raincoats. Nikwax on a Patagonia coat (their recommendation) and Granger's on a Marmot coat (again the manufacturer's recommendation. The Granger's worked a bit better, water beading much more convincingly than it did on the Nikwax treated coat.

Great at adding/extending water proofing/repellenc
I have used this and other NIKWAX products for several years. I highly recommend them. Great to extend the life of your waterproof garments, or to increase the waterproof/repellency of fleece, etc (use Polar proof for fleece). Leaves somewhat of a "chemical" smell at first, but it goes away quickly.
