Great vest for fishermen
May 20, 2009
I flyfish from my canoe and bought this vest because of the extra pockets that most pfd's lack. I tend to carry minimul gear, but this vest has enough room to carry plenty of essentials and extras. The lower pockets fit the SA SystemX flyboxes perfectly and most likely any other box that is about 6"x4"x1.5". The upper pockets are great for tippet, leaders, license, and other small items. There are plenty of loops on the vest to hang nippers, hemos/pliers, and floatant. There is even a D-ring on the back that you can hang a net if you get out to wade fish in the water. All the adjustment straps give you the ability get a snug, comfortable fit that won't ride up while paddling a canoe or kayak. I highly recommend this vest for it's versatility and comfort for any fisherman.
Ultimate Kayak Fisherman's PFD

The primary reason I purchased this PFD is the high back. The back of this PDF does not get in the way of the ergonomic seat I use in my kayak. Two other PFDs I purchased from other manufacturers did. On top of that, all the pockets give me plenty of storage for fishing gear and essentials I need when I bring my son with me. The build quality is excellent!
