This is a fantastic life vest. I recently got my first Kayak, and was using a standard boating life vest which road up, and the back of the vest hit in a bad spot on the seat. It just wasn't comfortable for kayaking. After purchasing this vest my kayaking experience has greatly improved. This vest fits so much better, and the high back is great to have. I bought a Small/Medium and it fits me and my wife perfectly. I am 5'10", 175lbs. I typically wear a size large T-Shirt, but don't have any problem with this vest. I bought it so my wife could use it as well. She is 5'6" and a size small/medium shirt. All in all this is the perfect vest for our kayaking needs. I couldn't be happier with my choice of vest or size.

I went kayaking with this pfd and having the back padding up high gave me additional maneuvering room, I was hoping it would. Since the padding was over the seat, I could sit all the way back and the rotation of my torso was noticeably less constricted. Perhaps this feature is new only to me - I had neither seen nor heard of it before, but I am very happy to have found it here on Altrec.

The front is slightly bulky and is just barely out of the way of normal range of motion, but it is. The back is nice and high so you can lean right against the seat back. I am happy with it.

Great fit due to the 7 points of adjustable fittings. Like the range of motion and airflow. Feels very safe with the amount and positioning for buoyancy.

This PFD is meant for LG/XLG. I am a standard LG. This fit perfectly. Very comfy. It's a bit bulky though. I wonder if this is because it also suits an XLG or because it is a 16.5lb design. The pockets are awesome in design. My arms are free and my back is cool and clear from any obtrusion. I've been able to stretch my legs and lean back just to stretch out without having the PFD in the way. Nicely designed. I would be very safe on a deep see trip with this baby.

I absolutely love this PFD. The back is great - the mesh allows good airflow and the floatation panels are high enough so they don't interfere with sitting back against back-rest in kayak. Very comfortable and many places to adjust to customize fit.
