What a great life jacket!
April 27, 2012
I read a lot of reviews before ordering this life jacket, and to be honest it was my second choice. I expected it to be a good jacket but that I would have problems with the rear fastener and stiffness--but I had no problems! The jacket contoured just fine to her back, and once the length of the straps was adjusted properly I had no problems fitting them through the loops or fastening them! My dog was immediately comfortable wearing it, and was able to swim for a longer period than without it. She is doing swim therapy for her back, and needs to do laps in the pool. She has not been thrilled about this, and was getting tired quickly partially from anxiety at being in the water. She was much more confident and comfortable wearing the jacket. I am impressed with the quality of construction, and highly recommend it!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value

My Lab does great in this jacket. This is his second jacket and I am very pleased and like this one better than our first. The material is great and feels like it will hold up great through wear and tear. I love how the buckles are strong and secure well. Wonderful purchase!

The doggie life preserver works perfect for lifting my dog on and off the boat. The buckles are strong and don't come undone like the one I previously owned. The straps are wide enough too. He seems to be more comfortable with this style, rather than one that wraps completely around him. It's easier to put on and take off.
Comfortable Design for big neck/broad chest
July 05, 2009
The design is comfortable for my dog, a 95 pound Cheasapeake, who had a front leg amputation in May. She was really in between sizes on the Ruff Wear Float Coat, (L & XL - though kept the L) due to having a large neck/broad chest, so this design works well for her build in that the neck area is much more open than the RF design. Does not float her as high in the water as the RF float coat, but still does the job, and the camo color is a must for duck hunting this Fall.

I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE LIFE JACKET FOR DOG EDIE. IT FIT HER PERFECT AND I COULD LIFT HER IN AND OUT OF THE BOAT ALSO IF SHE FELL IN IT WOULD BE EASIER TO GET HER IN. SHE WAS VERY COMFORTABLE WEARING IT , VERY LIGHT WEIGHT, OTHER JACKETS I TRIED WAS NOT SATISFIED AT ALL TO BULKY AND UNCOMFORTABLE. THANK YOU VERY MUCH EDIE THANKS YOU TO
Has helped with her fear of water
October 09, 2009
Our vet recommended this life jacket as it is the one they use with our Shepherd when she goes to water therapy. She has always had a fear of water and was very nervous at first when they put on the life jacket. She now actually walks into it and it is quite comfortable for her. It is easy to put on and take off, and she is much more relaxed in deeper water.

This vest is perfect for our dog! She has a much smaller one and it doesn't fit nearly as well as this one! She already likes this vest in the boat. It really supports her more comfortably than any others that we've tried!

My Lab won't wear either a full-coverage type CFD or neoprene vest, but she has no problem with this one. It adjusts and goes on easily. I use it primarily for slower rivers, but if I were doing whitewater I think I would consider the full-coverage type.Pros: Ease of use, Great value
