Supple
I needed a pair of pants for whitewater rafting. I wanted something to keep me dry, yet comfortable. So many of the pants are stiff, but these are more supple and comfortable. I am not sure that they would be warm in extremely cold weather, but here in the northern Rockies it can get pretty cold even in the summer. I am a female who wears a size 4 -6. The extra smalls fit me ok. They are a bit big in the seat, but not terribly so. They are comfortable when I sit down, so having a bit of extra room is good.

Very comfortable
The pants are very comfortable to wear and they keep out the water and wind. They seem a little baggy at first, but then you get used to them (plenty of room for layers underneath). My only complaint is that I wish they had a (secure) pocket to add to the functionability of the pants.

very smart purchase
These are so much better than "rain" gear. The cuffs at the ankles and high waist not only provide great comfort, they really keep you dry. Warm but not hot. Next trip out I'm going to leave the bulky waders in the truck and just wear these!

Work as advertised!! and more
The fit is "right on" per sizing chart. They will cut the wind while paddling or while just standing outside your kayak on a wet windy day. The first time I wore them it was rainy & windy...I stayed dry & warm. Fits like a pair of your favorite baggy sweats only the keep the windy rain out to boot.
