i love these
January 24, 2005
I love these, they fit great and are very comfortable. Nothing gets in the sides either, which has often been a problem for me - with narrow feet and ankles - no rocks or sand sloshing around the bottom makes for a more more enjoyable time.
Great!!!

I had the Kicker Booties on for up to 10 hours at a time and I had no discomfort whatsoever. I definately recommend them for any canoe trip.
All day comfort, tho a little short to keep sand out in surf.

These boots are the best ever for kayaking in various conditions. Warm and damp inside of course, but comfortable enough to wear all day. Great traction on the rocks.
comfortable and functional

Great water shoe for kayaking. Compact and flexible enough for allowing me to use my toes for the rudder controls yet sturdy enough to protect my feet from oyster shells. The velcro strap ensures no chance of losing a shoe when in pluff mud. Don't be without them!
Kickers booties are great.

I needed a water shoe that would stay secure on my feet have a thick pad for walking on coral rock and be comfortable. These meet all my expectations. Very comfortable, the Velcro strap keeps them secure and water tight and they are very durable.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great valueGood shoe, no drainage

Well made shoe intelligently designed for a good fit. These are comfortable, and offer enough support for walking moderate distances. The sole is flexible enough to bend into a kayak, or to wear as a deck shoe, and is nicely grippy. It is also thick enough to protect feet from rocks debris etc and offers good insulation in cold water. However, the shoe does not drain, so if don't want your feet sloshing around in a cup of water, you will need to drain them each time you get out of the water. Not a big deal if you're, say, launching a boat, but more so if you're frequently in and out of the water.
If the shoe fits . . . wear it.

Nice shoe for PWC riding.
They do the job
June 02, 2009
I used these for walking along the beach in Oregon and wading in tide pools. Really a nice shoe for that. It keeps the sand out and has decent traction. Some water does get trapped in the shoe so it could drain a little better. I made the mistake of hiking 1.5 miles through the forest to another beach with them on. My feet are still hurting from that. That's definitely not what they were made for though. Sizing was standard and fit is good.
Good Quality. Fits small.

No half sizes, thought a 9 would fit better, way too small. Have to return. Will order the size 10.
perfect water shoe

This was my first water shoe and will be my last. Peformed flawlessly..
Like a glove!

This is a great shoe for kayaking or any other water sport. It fits well and it is very comfortable. The front of the shoe has a reinforcement that comes in handy if you are planning on doing white water rafting because it will hold you feel very well against the bottom of the boat.
Too small and heavy

Unlike some others reviews, I didn't like these, and had to send them back. They were way too small, and I thought they were clunky and might not be a good fit in my low volume whitewater kayak.
4 star +

The boots are sturdy and of high quality and are very comfortable to wear.
Great for kayaking

This is a great shoe for kayaking. Sole is stiff enough to keep firm contact with foot pedals. Walking on rocks or shells portaging is not a problem. Walks like a shoe.

Great Value Booties
July 13, 2011
First the negatives - they do run 1/2 size too small. The other negative is that they drain (ie they retain water) Now the positives: Great value Very very well made (all NRS items I have seen are) Comfortable and do what they are meant to do - keep your feet warm
Pros: Great value, Cons: 1/2 size smallGreat all-round shoe & great price

I ordered after reading several reviews about fit. Since these are sized in Men's, I usually wear an 8.5 in Women's and 7-7.5 in Men's, so I ordered Size 8 and they're perfect. Any initial tightness or pinch points will ease off after about the first hour of wear, since these took the mold of my feet rather quickly. These are really great when you've got to cover rocky shoreline with kayak in tow to get to the water, and they are very comfortable while paddling. There are two separate tightening adjustments, and I didn't really need to tighten either much for these to stay snug on my feet when wading through muddy shallows, and no guck got inside. They keep my feet pretty warm, but I have to agree that they do retain water.
Pros: great for walking across rocky shore, excellent value, easy to pack in your go-bag, stay on your feet, Cons: retain waterGreat Performance, Amazing Value

I used these booties for river boating, sea kayaking, boating, mangrove hikes, and windsurfing both throughout Asia and the United States. The sizing worked fine for me, though others recommend a 1/2 size down. I guess it depends on your foot length. They strap on very well, with an excellent sole that has ridges for good traction. Although sand and particulate matter can get stuck in the shoe, most of the job is done by tightening the back string (which can get a bit annoying, but you could always trim it or knot it again, or, as my friend and I did, tuck it into the shoe).
Pros: never fall off, 2 tightening systems, light, inexpensive, Cons: must remove shoe to drain waterDid you recently buy the NRS Kickers Booties? Write a review.
great purchase!

I bought these for kayaking and they have surpassed my expectations. They are very comfortable and well made. The soles are flexible and I found them to grip very well even on slippery rocks. For the price, you cannot go wrong. Highly recommended.
