These pants are not only going to serve me for my kayaking needs but they will also be great for wet weather hiking, wet weather mountain biking, winter snow clearing, and possibly some cross-country skiing with insulated underwear. I like the velcro closures for the waist and anklets, they function well with lots of comfort. I am 5' 9", 34" waist, 180 lbs. athletic build and large fit well with room for insulation and layering for cold weather activities. If I was only going to use these pants for summer sports I would choose a medium. In fact I just might buy a medium for both seasons!

Have had these for around 3 years now and would easily buy another pair - if I needed them. Thing is - they last forever. I have used them for whitewater rafting, kayaking, and general outdoor winter use, and they are great. Not too baggy, weathertight, and the cuffs on the legs are perfect for quick changes.
