just what I need
the hood is light, warm and comfortable. Ear holes are tiny and not a problem, the water will get likely in through edges rather than through these holes if you immerse your head in the water

design looks iffy
do not doubt the product but the ear holes leave a very large question of cold water trapped inside the hood not something i intend to try

warm comfortable what more do you want
man,this hood is warm on the coldest of days. It's almost hot.It may impare the hearing a tad.Man is it warm. If you roll your boat or go for the big swim, you may have to shake your head a bit due to the fact water will get trapped in side for about ten chilling seconds. Really no big deal, CAUSE YOUR HEAD WILL BE WARM. DID I already say hot!

have not tested it and will not tesst it, does not look waaterproof as it has large holes in the ear section.
