Brian - 2009-06-27Very Nice Shoes
I've only used them once so far, but I have been very pleased. They slip on and off very easily and the velcro straps allow you to get a nice snug fit. Nice traction on slippery surfaces and quick drying material. They seem very durable, and a good investment as I plan to use them for years to come.

Best investment I made for this trip. I was in Virgin Gorda at the baths and they saved my toes and feet countless times from the rocks in the surf. On Dominica they saved my feet from getting bashed while tubing on some minor rapids during a river tube ride. Very comfortable and sturdy, not like other cheapie watershoes.

Took a vacation to San Andres Island Colombia. The shoes were so comfy, that i wore them all the time. They worked great in the water and out as well.

I fish the surfs of north east Florida and frequently walk in the water. I bought these shoes to try keeping the sand and shells from getting between my feet and the foot bed which makes it painful to stand and walk.
They are a great improvement over sandals but do not provide total elimination of the before mentioned debris. Also the foot bed is very thin and offers very little support for the arches. I’m keeping them though until I find something better suited for my intended use.

I purchased these as a precaution against sea urchins, they are not aggressive but you'll know if you've bumped into one at the beach.

I use my pilot water shoes for windsurfing. While I had to reset my footstraps, I found them immediately better than any other available in Hood River, Oregon.
The closures still need some design work, however. The "D" rings rotate out of optimal position, and the velcro straps get twisted at passage through the rings.
But most important,I best like the firm soles and toes protection.

I liked the water shoe with one exception. The velcro strap goes
around the whole ankle. Then on both
sides of ankle it has a plastic piece
that it goes through. I think they should have the velcro attached to each
side of shoe but stitched on. That way
there would be no plastic piece to make the wearer uncomfortable.
