I bought this one as a gift for a friend, but my son an I both own these jackets. We have taken them on the local rivers on cloudy/rainy days and they have kept us dry and warm. We have also taken them on the Gauley River (50 degree water) and they worked very well there also. In fact, as the day wore on, we had to take them off because they got too warm!! I would highly recommend this jacket for anyone looking for protection from the rain, splashes and also for extra warmth.

The size and color were great, but the material didn't feel like a paddle jacket, but more like a rain coat. There is a difference. I am planning to send it back and get a coat that is more substantial.

These fit well, although alittle snug initially over the shoulders when putting on but roomy once on - The waist could be cut a little wider to solve that(I bought a S, am only 5'3 @ 115#), also bought one for a friend an XL and she had ONLY the same comment - Again nice fit once on. Otherwise good workmanship and nice watertight closures at the neck and wrists. A pocket would would be a nice addition.

Keeps you dry as well as blocks the wind. Comfortable fit. Easy to put on/take off. Would definitely recommend.

hard material but warm and waterproof

When I first tried it on at home, I noticed that material was hard, almost felt like plastic and made noise when I moved my arms which I thought could be annoying when I paddle the noise was not noticeable when I was actually paddling in the water. It kept me warm and dry. I thought I was going to get rash from the corner of velcro around my neck but I learned to fold it over and that eliminated my neck being in contact with velcro. Reasonably priced, I'm happy with it.

I use this as a paddle jacket when rafting the Gauley River during Gauley season. The fit is just right so when I have my base layers on underneath I still have room to paddle and move, and it also helps to keep me warm in the chilly river water. The velcro at the cuffs and collar make it easy to either tighten them up to keep the water out or loosen them to allow heat out and some airflow in while in flat water. I would definitely recommend this jacket.

Love this jacket, It has plenty of room underneath for extra layers and ease of movement. Just bought the same jacket with a hood for my two daughters.

I purchased this splash top for an upcoming trip to the notoriously cold Nantahala River. I have to say the top did a fabulous job keeping me dry. The neoprene neck and wrist seals kept the water out and were comfortable as well! Since I didn't swim on either of two trips down the river, I can't say how well I would have stayed dry had I submerged. But for a splash top, I highly recommend this one. Great price too!
