Great fit and very durable

These flotation bags are very easy to fit and they are very easy to inflate. They seem to hold up very well and add plenty of flotation to my boat.
Stern as bow bags
December 08, 2012
Used a pair of the longest stern bags as bow bags in a Perception Sport Swiftwater 10.5. Works great other than the tube is too short. Thought it was that NRS simply makes their stern bags with short tubes but I am using the NRS Standard Floatation Stern Bag in another kayak and it has an enormously long tube so not sure why this one's tube is not as long.
Pros: Build quality, Cons: stern bag needs longer tubeSolid Product

Bags have held up well for two seasons now. Valves are airtight. There is no nylon shell to delaminate like on some other flotation bags. Lash points are durable. Good purchase.
Pros: Build qualityTough, functional, and easy to use

These bags are made out of a fairly tough urethane which is just a thinner version of that used in many outfitter rafts and inflatable kayaks. It should be able to take a substantial amount of abuse. The filling tubes don't kink too badly and are long enough to allow for filling of the bladders without removing them from the boat. The valves are easy to open and close, but they don't leak at all. These are sold individually at most stores and buying them all separately isn't cheap. Altrec cuts you a very nice deal when you opt to buy them in a set. NRS is USA-based (in Idaho) and one of the very best gear companies out there, and when it comes to protecting yourself and your kayak, it's worth buying quality equipment like this.
