Best with a sit in kayak
April 12, 2011
First let me say this is a great dry top. The neck seal is comfortable, even for those with large (greater than 18") necks. The latex seals at the wrist are comfortable, and completely waterproof. This drytop is cut great, with plenty of room through the armpits and shoulders for active paddling and fishing. The material is definitely waterproof, and the breathability is surprising. My only complaint is that I bought this top for use with a pair of drypants on a sit on top kayak. In the pictures it looks like the entire bottom seal is neoprene, but there is actually a couple of inches under each velcro strap that is not neoprene. Because of this, when I was practicing self rescues, I did not stay completely dry. A very small (less than 8 ounces) amount of water leaked in under the non-neoprene area, and I ended up being a little damp inside. If you need to stay completely dry on a sit on top, you should probably look elsewhere, but paired up with a skirt on a sit in, or if you're ok with getting damp, this jacket is a really good buy.
Pros: Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great valueGreat Semi-Dry top!

I bought this top and took it playboating at the Nantahala River, kept me me dry! It did it's job. The neck gasket feels GREAT! it's a great price! I went out and got the shorty for summer time! And it takes a beating from rocks and didnt even show any damage! You really don't feel that you are wearing it! I LOVE IT!!
Good fit, good wear

i am 6'2 190 pounds. the jacket Fits as described and met all my expectations. the neck started out really snug almost too snug but it wears in and you get used to it. it also allowed great range of motion. very good middle of the road jacket! seals nicely to my skirt. good buy
