Extra warmth/dryness under Boundary Boot
Bought these to go under NRS Boundary Boots to give some extra warmth and to make the boots a little snugger. Wish it had the same inner surface as the Hydroskin products. It does NOT wick water away from the feet so I found I had to use a polypropelene sock to keep sweat off of my feet otherwise my feet feel "clammy". I ordered the size according to the chart and it fits pretty well assuming it is not the only sock you are wearing (I wear an 8 1/2 and bought a large that is listed as 8 - 9). If you are looking for it to be the only sock (I would not recommend doing this), might want to order one size down.

neoprene socks
just got and they (xxl) even fit my 14 wides. not tight at all. I have used them before when i lived back east. never wore them out, just left them behind when i came out west. they help me fit my BIG feet in smaller winter boots. 2 thick socks in a size 12 boot with a 13+ did not work well. but with a liner and these socks the fit was great. I plan on doing some canyons in AZ and UT this spring and a (in) river walk (backpack) (Aravaipa Canyon) and expect them to fit my needs for the trip. PS Altrec is the way to go..

Finally...Warm Feet!
These are great socks for working out in sub-freezing temps. I'm using them over a wool sock liner. Easy on and off and very comfortable. I wear a 9.5 shoe and the medium size is a perfect fit. The construction is excellent and the price is right! Thank you NRS.

Great sock, but fits a full size too big. Durable, affordable, and warm. Go next size down. I'm a size 11 and according to NRA, I should wear an XL. next time I will get the large.

excellent for water shoes/hiking
I bought these due to intense blisters caused by sand and rocks rubbing the tops of my feet. They not only did the job but I hiked out with weight in these socks with my water shoes. super comfy. I bought 1 size lower than the chart..PERFECT

Very nice product but the XL size states 10-11, I wear an 11 and this is quite loose fitting for neoprene. Have not used the product yet, I intend to use these for the Zion narrows 16 mile hike.

Great Wetsocks
I wore these hiking the Subway Trail in Zion National Park (bottom up). This is an 8 mile hike and a third of the hike is in the water. I also used these for another wet canyon called Keyhole. On both occasions, my feet felt great, they were wet after entering the water but comfortable and warm. They do run large though, I am a size 6.5 shoe and I ordered an extra small.

Wetsocks 2mm
I bought these socks for my son to wear on a trip to the BWCA. I bought one size smaller than was given on the size chart because of other reviews but still had to send them back for a smaller size. He wears an 11 shoe and we ended up with a Medium sock. They look to be of good quality but they have not been tested yet. Time will tell.

Nice Socks, But Size Down
These are very good neoprene socks, nicely constructed, well fitting, and functional...if you size down. I guess the sizing would depend on how you want these socks to fit. If you wear thick, insulated socks or prefer a loose baggy fit, then the sizing chart recommendation is fine. My wife and I wear these for warm weather stream wading in water shoes or sandals. I have a narrow size 10 1/2 foot and my wife is a narrow size 7 1/2 - 8. Based on reviews we both ordered 1 size down from the recommended manufacturers size, me a medium, her a small. Too big. We use a thin pair of Smartwool hiking socks as a liner under the neoprene and found that the smalls fit me perfectly with just a small amount of foot conforming stretch, (about an inch in length and just enough in width to be snug) which prevents bunching in the shoe. We sent the pair of adult large back and exchanged them for a youth size large which fit my wife perfectly! The exchange policy at Altrec by the way, is outstanding and speedy, so don't worry too much about not getting it right the first time.

Quality Product
Most NRS products I have purchased have fit small.
I used these in combination with waterproof boots. I'm really happy with how warm I stayed wearing these socks. I stood in 39 degree water several times and never got cold.

Warm Feet
Works well in keeping your feet warm when they are getting wet and it's cold (i.e. rafting in early Spring). They also tend to run large so if you want a tight fit order a size smaller than your shoe size. If you are going to be doing some hiking suggest the Hydroskin G2

Can't wait to use it
Very please with quality of the sock. It is well made. Thanks for other reviews, I ordered a size smaller than it recommends. My boyfriend's shoe size is 9. I got him size M and it fits him perfectly. My shoe size is 5.5-6 I ordered XS but still too big for me so I returned and order the youth size L and it fits me perfectly.

I use these socks for winter running. Sizing is a bit tricky--I wear a 10-10.5US and ended up going with an XL. A little extra space is better for warmth anyway.

Wetsocks great gift
I purchased the 2mm wetsocks for my son-in-law for Christmas and he loves them! Living in S. CA he has already surfed 4 times with them, wears them around the house and is planning to wear them to a New Year's football game! I don't know of any other gift I could have given him that he could use so many different ways and enjoy so much. Thanks!

better than slippers!
These socks are extremely warm yet very thin. I have hardwood floors and it insulates my feet so well that I can feel my feet warming up within seconds of putting it on. I would suggest wearing a thin sock underneath to help with feet getting slightly sweaty. But these keep my feet sooooo warm! The only drawback to these socks is that the ankles are somewhat small. If you have thick ankles you might have a hard time getting them on, or they might cut into your leg.

Awesome purchase
I purchased these for scuba diving in colder waters. I wear them under my regular booties and they add another layer of warmth that is just perfect! They dry fast for the next dive and don't rub or bunch up. I would highly recommend!

Nice fit and warm
Per the size chart I would use a L, but ordered a M and it fits great! Comfortable to wear and great to use hiking crossing so many creeks!

Seamless Warmth & Comfort Plus

Good protection and insulation but not real comfortable for hike
They don't breathe very well, and they're better for being in water more rather than less, ie going on a hike with a little water.

Great
These are as good as pancakes with real maple syrup! My feet felt great after a couple of miles in a shallow river down a slot canyon. Keep the Tevas tight to keep out pebbles and you're good to go.

Great item
I use these under my dry-suit and with my OTB SAR boots. They've kept my feet comfortable after an hour in 39 degree water. I wear a size 11 shoe and a Large fit great.

Great insulator
Works really well for any wet environment to keep your feet protected and/or warm. The neoprene traps a thin layer of air or water that helps hold in your body heat, and the cushion is a bonus too. I wear them with sandals, water shoes, and just regular shoes.

warm feet
Great to keep feet warm in winter boots while shoveling snow or just walking. Slightly larger than I expected but that leeaves enough room for a pair of wicking socks under them

A great gift
I bought these as a gift and they came in time for Christmas even though I ordered them as late as Dec. 22nd. They were a good value and I think they'll help my brother-in-law on his ride to work every morning this winter.

Work Great
I bought these as a gift and my son says they work wonderful.His feet stayed dry and he wore them in a snow storm we were having and his feet stayed dry while he was outdoors shoveling . Great product and would buy this again.

Great pair of socks
Size appears to be spot on. Ordered 2 pair. One pair for Kayaking, the other pair for my work boots to keep feet warm & dry while working around the farm this winter. Tried wearing them out around the house at 65*F to see if They got too warm. Feet never got hot. Socks will be fine in warm weather too.

Great socks
I bought these to do the Leadville 100 mountain bike ride and am thankful that I did. With temps starting in the upper 30's and rain on and off my feet were never cold or wet. As the day progressed the sun eventually came out and pushed the temps up into the lower 60's and my feet were still comfortable. I'd highly recommend buying a pair of these socks to anyone that wants to keep their feet warm and dry.

Fantastic wet socks
I used these wet socks in conjunction with the Hood River Water Boot in a 41 mile backpacking trip in the Paria Canyon via the Wire Pass and Buckskin Gulch. Though they did not keep my feet dry, they did keep my feet warm the entire trip. They performed very well under the gruelling conditions of never ending water crossings, crossing the never ending boulder fields and even kept out the sand while hiking in the deep sand of the River Trail at the end of the hike. I was very impressed with them.

Great wetsocks!
I use these with dive boots when I treasure hunt with my metal detector in the surf. They are wonderful! They keep my feet warm, and are very comfortable. This is actually a second pair for me so I can always have a dry pair to wear, as many times I go to the beach on back-to-back days.

Excellent Wetsocks!
I purchased these for my yearly trips rafting the Gauley River in Southern West Virginia. With water temps around the 40s these wetsocks coupled with my Keen Zerraport water sandals kept my feet toasty! Excellent construction. I believe I purchased a size small and I wear a women's size 6.7-7 shoe. Perfect thickness and height.

Did the Zion Narrows and my feet were always comfortable
I did the Narrows as a day hike and wore these over a pair of liner socks. As the only person in my group of 7 whose feet were never cold, these socks get incredibly high marks. After 11 hours and 16 miles, I was very grateful to be wearing them.

Great for using with my sandals!
I really Like it! Great product and I use with my sandals at the beach while I am setting up my kite.....Good value and 2 mm give me more mobility.

Everything I had hoped for
Being 6 feet 8 inches tall and wearing size 17 shoes, I got these fully expecting to return them. The XXLs fit very comfortably and have offered exactly the foot/ankle protection from jelly fish, rocks, etc that I was looking for. Perfectly comfortable to swim in and perfect for beaches with occasional wild life, mud, or rocks. Also highly recommended for creek swimming.

Great!
Used these while fly-fishing and around camp in my Altec recommended Salomon shoes for dryness/comfort. One night temp's dropped below freezing and at 11,000ft that can be a big deal. I slept in them one night. Toasty!!! Along the river kept me comfortable and cool. Never cold or uncomfortable. Rivers,streams and cold never stopped me, only the fish did that. Order one smaller. Great!

work well with water sandals, at least, the type without big toe separaters! took the advice on the sizing: do order one size smaller than you might think. mine are a smidge loose but not a problem. still work well and are WARM in cold water! great product for a good value.

Keeps my feet warm

very good quality construction-reliable at low temperature
do you spend a lot of time in the snow at zero degrees?--this type of vapor barrier sock is excellent in keeping your foot insulation layers functioning and not soggy or frozen with vapor-sweat--I use several pairs and the superior performance in low temp is safer than cloth socks if you break thru ice into running water and get soaked--just put socks back on they are waterproof

Won't be able to test them out until the spring, but I'm glad I took other people's suggestions with the size. I wear a men's 9, which should be a large. Went for the medium, and it's a perfect fit.

Perfect for cold wet weather
These socks are ideal for running on muddy trails in cold weather. Like earlier reviewers, I suggest you order smaller. The size M fits my 9.5 feet perfectly.

They work!
Bought these for paddling, as "liners" for my water sandals, and they certainly keep the cold and river muck at bay. Sizing was fine, and they feel so comfortable that I forget I have them on. Happy to find them at Altrec-- with free shipping and return. The latter is important to me because sizing can be dicey on unisex items. Also, I plan on using when I bicycle in the winter--my feet are always cold. If they work half as well as they do for paddling, I'll be happy on that score as well.

Warm in 50 degree water
I shopped a long time to find these. Right price and functionality. I wear them under my wetsuit and started open water swimming in Lake Michigan in early June. Water temperature was about 50 degree. My face froze and the tops of my fingers were exposed (I had neoprene fishing gloves on) but my feet were toasty warm.

Comfortable and effective
I would've rated this product higher but <b>the size (large) suggested for my foot size (9) was just too big and I had to return my initial purchase. But the medium was perfect</b> and worked quite well with my sandals. Easy to slip on (even wet) and comfortable to wear - even while hiking on dry land.

Comfortable & good value
I bought the NRS 2mm wetsocks for use during a recent snorkeling trip to the Cayman Islands. They worked great and kept my feet warm and comfortable for hours. I would definately take them on wet/cold backpacking trips as well. They would be great combined with a pair of river sandals. The sizing chart was true to size.

Perfect socks for the trip!
I purchased these socks for my son for his trek through Paria Canyon for a week. He loved them!
