Worthy Investment

I should have gotten this bag years ago. I've spent hundreds of dollars on paddles, but never took any great steps to protect them. This bag is bomber and will protect your expensive paddles.

Great bag for 2 Whitewater paddles
January 24, 2012
I bought this bag to transport 2 paddles, both 196 cm bend-shaft whitewater paddles with large blades (limit the scratches to playing in the water). One is offset 35 degrees and other is offset 45 degrees. Both fit fine (clearly the bag will handle longer paddles as the 196 fit with a little room to spare). The outside is that great, tough Cordura complete with an outside pocket. Really impressed with the carrying handles as well as the over-the-shoulder strap. Inside there is a felt sleeve on each end with buckles and a flap in the center for keeping shafts apart. I found it the most stable when the blade from the first paddle was inside one end sleeve and outside the other sleeve (bucket keeps it in place) with the second paddle running the same way but using the end sleeves in the opposite way. Great internal pockets for keeping paddle leash (for playing in ocean surf) as well as removable drip rings (for more pleasant flat water touring). Description claims it will take up to 3 paddles but I suspect only if the shafts are straight and/or the blades are not offset.
