Description

Old tractor inner tubes work, but the NRS Wild River Float Tube with Mesh Floor is your ticket to styling and safe river tubing. Designed with two air chambers for puncture resistance safety, this river tube delivers quality construction and the comfort of a mesh floor. It's 45-inches across with an 18-inch center diameter, ideally sized for comfortable lounging. The heavy-gauge PVC inner is covered with rugged 840-denier nylon for long-haul durability and puncture resistance. There are gear loops for easy lashing or to clip tubes together, and two bomber grab handles make for easy portage. Very Durable and easy to transport
October 08, 2012

I was pretty concerned my dog might punch a hole in this thing but he has crawled all over it and it holds up well. Another great thing about this is I can put it in the trunk of my car filled about 90 percent and then just fill up the other 10 percent when you get there. Have used it one year and it is holding up well.

a GREAT RIVER TUBE !
August 11, 2011

Well made and well priced. Best of all: Altrec stands behind everything they sell. I bought these to use in the Yampa river and they are great fun. Buy a pump too, a bicycle pump does not work well on these valves

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use

The best.

Bought 2 tubes and spent 3 days on the Kern River (CA). By far the best tubes we saw on the river. Asked many times where we got them.

Took this tube to new limits
April 02, 2010

Took this tube 10 miles down a class 3 river and had absolutely no problems. Floated over numerous sharp rocks and sticks and had no puncture. Excellent product. My tube did not have the drink holder which was advertised.

River Fun
February 14, 2013

I purchased four of these NRS river tubes for our cabin on the North Fork of the Henry River near Island Park Idaho and have never regretted it. They've lasted three years now with continual use and abuse from family and friends. We have hit sticks and rocks, have rough housed, enjoyed beverages, and thrown them to and fro. These tubes are awesome with no holes or leaks as of yet. Best river tubes we've ever purchased and worth the price now that we aren't replacing tubes a half dozen times a year. I would highly recommend to anyone that is willing to afford them.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, Cons: Cost

NRS Float Tube
August 14, 2012

I had been using Tuff Tubes for years to float the local rivers before buying a Wild River Float Tube by NRS. These new tubes are larger, more comfortabe and deflate faster. I could not be happier. After floating the Wenatachee river last weekend I ordered another Wild River Tube as soon as I got home. The tubes have nice handles, the mesh floor drains fast no need to wait forwater to drain from small holes . The two air chambers offer additional safety and fill quickly. Overall a nice river tube made by a company that makes serious river kayaks and rafts!

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use
Durability: 5 / 5

Float Tube with floor
July 31, 2011

I bought the tube to take to a relatives cabin on the creek. The tube was big and comfortable--the mesh floor was quite nice and the handles were soft. A cup holder would be a benefit as we carried bug spray but we just laid it down on the mesh floor. The creek was quite low the day we used it the most and we scraped along a lot--but the tube still looked brand new after a rough ride. I would have liked some instructions and more information though--the chambers to inflate it have 2 different size valves--which was nice but we received no written information about. Also, the mesh floor looks like you can unzip and remove it if you wanted--once again no info and no where in the description does it say that.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, great color, Cons: Cost, cup holder, more written instructions

Best river tube out there
July 02, 2007

If your serious about floating down cool rivers on a hot day with a cold beer in your hand, (and who's not serious about that?), This is the tube for you. The construction is like no other tube around, the nylon cover eliminates rubber rash. the beer can holder keeps your beverage secure, and the d-ring is a good place to tie off the cooler float. A little pricey, you get what you pay for, a tube that will last twenty plus years!

Great sturdy, comfortable tube...

Probably the most sturdy product on the market, and very comfortable. The only down side is it is a bit heavy and awkward to carry, but its perfect in the river... Also look for the ones with the cup holder!
