Neoprene Waist Issues
January 15, 2012
I am an athletic but curvy woman with an hourglass figure. The butt, thighs, hips and legs were fantastic for muscular legs. My greatest issue is the waistband. As a person with a shorter torso, 5'4 with a 32 inseam, I was hoping that the waist band would work well for me (based on other review). No dice. While the band could come up over my curves, it immediately rolled down to the center of my back and navel area (aka down the upper curve). Tried again, it repeated. Etc, etc. If you are a pear shaped woman, these pants could be for you! If you are an hourglass shaped woman, I would expect similar results. Going up a size doesn't seem like a viable option for me. Who would they work for: Pear Super curvy women BELOW waist Longer legged women Average legged women Women with muscular legs Who wouldn't they work for: Hourglass-waisted Short legged women Narrow hipped women
neoprene waistband too low

I'm about 5'6, 140lbs, and wear a size 8 in women's pants and ordered a med. last spring for whitewater rafting. I've used the pants 8-10 times now and find that the neoprene waistband comes down to low in the back so that every time I sit down there's a gap between my drytop and the waterproof material in the pants. So I frequently get water leaking through the neoprene onto my lower back even when I'm not actually in the water. I've tried pulling them up as high as I can (up to my chest) yet this hasn't helped. I know a lot of people that have the Black Rock Dry Pant and don't have this problem,so I'll probably opt for those this rafting season.
