very warm for its weight
July 27, 2011
These are exactly what i was looking for to keep me a bit warmer while floating the river. The water is so cold I usually wear hard-shell pants over these but when it gets warmer out just these will be perfect. They are exceptionally warm for their weight, and I love that they're so comfortable and dry so quickly. I fall between a Medium and Large, and got the Large, and they're perfect.
Pros: Great design, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of useAlready own the NRS HydroSkin Capris? Tell us your thoughts.
Great kayaking capris - would recommend!

I bought these pants for kayaking and cold-sea swimming and playing. I like that they aren't super thick but still keep you warm. The waist is high (especially up over your lower back). But this can be rolled down if preferred. They are mostly a very snug fit apart from a slight slackness behind the knees for some reason (I'm 5ft 4, 130 pounds and bought a size small).

Perfect fit, well made, keeps me dry and warm. These are great for short women, you don't have to worry about the legs being too log for your legs. I love them; they're very comfortable. Sizing chart is accurate. I'll be wearing them all the time!!

Hydroskin Capris help on those cooler days
October 23, 2007
These work great for those not so warm days but you need something on your legs. I love mine as I tend to take on a little water in my cockpit while practicing my rolls.
Great for folks with short legs

Love the Hydroskin products (own just about everything they make in this line). Great comfort and just the right amount of warmth. Bought a pair of capri's for my wife but as I have incredibly short legs (and the regular pants are always too long) stole these to use as pants (a tiny bit too short to use as pants but once I combined them with Hydroskin socks, it was perfect: there was not gap and no bulky overlap between pant leg and sock).
Pros: Great design, Build qualitygreat year round!

I recommend Hydroskins. I bought the pants for my husband and a friend bought herself some capris, too. They are comfortable and the fit is great. I am able to keep warm kayaking in 54 degree water when I get splashed. I wear them in the summer and in the fall. In winter they make a great under layer. Even when they are wet they still keep me warm and keep out the wind and chill. They dry nicely.

Got these capris becuz I'm really short and while these don't give me the excess-material-donut-roll at my ankles, they're supposed to hit average height women at the calf so they end up flaring about 2 inches above my ankle. I plan to use them for cold-water snorkeling so I'm not sure if that will lessen the "warmth factor" since water will be getting in at the "flares" (I haven't used them yet). However, I really like the material because they seem like they would hold heat in and they're super, super stretchy. I definitely wouldn't worry too much about them being too tight because of the incredible stretch (and you don't want these things loose in any way).
Pros: Build quality, Ease of useGreat in cold pool

I bought these a year ago. The pools which I use for exercises are way too cold and these work nicely. I also purchased a long sleeve HydroSkin top. Great range of motion. They are standing up pretty well to a year of corrosive chlorine.
Great Fit

I am very happy with the fit and quality of these capris. The size chart was accurate. (I was worried about ordering a small.) The hydroskin capris are perfect for paddling during the cooler winter months...going to order a second pair!

Great product

I really like my NRS women's HydroShin Capris. The only problem that I have is that there is no drawstring in the waist and they are a little large in the waist. I have found that if I pull them up a little more that there is less chance of losing them. I am on the upper end of the weight range so I am sure that I will have to buy another pair when I lose more weight. These capris washed well - no fabric softener! They do a great job except for my fear of them coming down when I come out of the water.
