Love Oakley sunglasses. The lens optics are fantastic. In theory, can save a lot of money by buying replacement lenses and not replacing frames all the time. Sad part is how quickly the lenses get scratched up no matter how careful you are with them.

On the coast weather changes quickly, these lens are a great compromise between light and dark. The contrast is prefect and colors bright. I love them for golf and cycling, Oakley's are the best.

If you are looking for an additional lense to add to your current Oakley Flak Jacket, the polarized Deep Blue lense is one I recommend to add to your collection. Didn't give 5 star due to what I consider a common issue with the Oakley iridium lenses, which is they are a magnet for dust. But the performance of the lenses are great.

Easy Lens Switch on the Road

This is the third pair of Oakleys that I own and probably my last as this model specifically meets all of my needs. I' m a cyclist...hard to the core. I ride in the mountains in the summer and I absolutely guarantee you that at some point during the day, it will rain….sometimes with fierceness. The nice, dark tinted lens of my prior Oakley sunglasses in a mountain rainstorm may look Pro Tour cool but, it’s lights out with a capital “O.” The Flak Jacket model gives you the option of easy lens replacement on the road with say…this clear lens…. so you can see. Yea!! Now I know that the other LA model also has easy lens replacement; but have you felt them on your nose yet? There is no padding. Didn’t work for me. It’s a whole new world of Oakley to have the ability to change lens…. especially on the road or on the go. Miles of smiles to all.

easily interchanges with my regular lenses on an Asian-fit Flak jacket. The XLJ adds slightly more coverage and a different look but not that big a difference compared to my regular size lens. If considering getting the same tint in XLJ to replace regular lens, I would not recommend for that.

These replacement lenses fit the Flak Jacket asian fit frames perfectly. It was easy to remove the old lenses and put the new ones in place. I'm very pleased with the quality and performance of these new lenses and with the Flak Jacket in general.

In the sea of Oakley lenses I highly recommend the G30 for cycling. In all but the brightest of conditions this lens is spectacular. Get this "golf" lens for cycling and you'll be impressed too.

Oakley Flak Jacket XLJ Lenses

I bought these lenses to replace the standard sized Flak Jacket lenses. If you own Flak Jacket frames with regular lenses, XLJ Lenses do fit in the same frame. Putting the lenses in can be tricky the first time. Oakley includes an instruction sheet, but there are also videos online with people demonstrating how to do it. I purchased the VR28 Black Iridium lenses. It's difficult to tell about lens color online, but when you look through them, these have a reddish-brown tint to them. The lens does not have a mirror-like appearance. The lenses are versatile and work well in most light conditions, but I would get something else for the brightest of sunlight.
