THE GOOD AND BAD ABOUT THIS BAG!
June 04, 2010

PROS: Great backpack in terms on amount of storage. Big and spacious, the mesh helps cool out or air out your wet stuff, It even has drain holes on the bottom to drain out the water. Laptop compartment can be use as additional storage and the cool thing is it has the side zipper so if you are holding other items, there's an easy access without unbuckling all the straps. Spacious side pockets as you can put many stuff in there like cables or a lot of small items. Center pocket which has the velcro tear-out compartment reveals compression molded pockets, easy to put small stuff like phone or pda etc, and even has some for pens. Just above the top of the compression mold has an opening to put small stuff behind it. If you buckle down the flaps, you will see that there are 3 key loops to hangs stuff and a zipper which reveals a padded fleece line to put your stuff like glasses and mp3 player which also has a goring to put your headphones over it so you can listen to while your carrying. CONS: The only problem i had with this bag is the fact that the main pocket has a mesh lining. I can see the reason that they did that to air out stuff (assuming you put wet stuff) but since the velcro flap covers that area, wouldn't it be wise to put Oakley lining in there instead? I also noticed that the mesh lining breaks easily if it comes into contact with sharp or should i say moderately sharp items. I noticed i had 3 -4 mesh areas that are preening out. the materials they used for the mesh does not seem like its a good quality if a pen can pierce through it and cause a breakage. Overall: This backpack is still great. Still has its flaws (maybe they need to update it to 4.0) but for the durability- I was able to lug some weight without seeing anything tearing out (other than the mesh) the backpack is still in great condition after lugging 20+ lb of gear. This is a big backpack. If your the type that doesn't carry a lot of stuff. This bag can be an overkill for you BUT GET IT ANYWAYS! never know when your going to be adding stuff and this backpack will do the job

Great Backpack
September 18, 2009

Well built backpack, great materials, and rugged design. Has lots of room for books (and I have some rather large school books), laptop, and all of your other accessories. One of the largest backpacks that I could find that is not a hiking or camping backpack.

This bag goes everywhere with me.
September 23, 2011

This bag goes everywhere with me. I use it for school stuff, biking, traveling, sleepovers, whatevz! it has lots of space & holds a bunch of stuff. the only thing about it is that the side zipper pocket for 'easy access' to the laptop compartment is not big enough to allow me to actually pull out my laptop (it's a 15" macbook pro)! but i don't care, because i might as well just pull it out of the main storage compartment... awesome backpack though!! totally worth the money. I'm sure it'll be of use for some time
