A handful of hardcore Oakley gear gurus might recognize design elements from the bestselling M Frame in these Radar Pitch sunglasses, but the frame and interchangeable lens shapes stand apart from previous incarnations. Whether you're looking for a fashionable upgrade from your M Frames or you need sports sunglasses for high-impact activities, the award-winning Radar Pitch is an ideal choice. The impact-resistant Plutonite lenses have the excellent vertical coverage, but give medium faces a slightly better fit than the larger Range lenses. Oakley's Radar lenses are fully interchangeable, so you can switch tints and shapes to suit your needs--or switch to the Radar Range if you want the additional coverage. Oakley treated their lenses with a permanent hydrophobic lens that repels skin oil, rain and sweat to optimize optical performance. The lenses also resist smudges and clean easier than previous eyewear. This award winning design (Outside Magazine's Gear of the Year award for 2007) also has interchangeable Unobtainium nose pieces that you can choose to match your facial contours. From golfing to biking to trail running, Oakley's Radar Pitch is one of the most versatile sports eyewear designs you'll find this season.

  • 2007 Gear of the Year Award winner, Outside Magazine
  • Contoured and lightweight O Matter® frame
  • New interchangeable Plutonite® lenses exceed ANSI Z87.1 standards for optical performance and have a special hydrophobic finish that resists moisture and skin oils
  • Sized to fit medium to large faces
  • Included Radar Pitch lens offers medium vertical coverage and can fit some medium faces better than the Radar Range lenses
  • All Oakley lenses block 100% of UVA, UVB and UVC rays (plus blue light)
  • Interchangeable Unobtainium® nose pieces with Oakley's three-point fit
  • Unobtainium® grips at nose and ear stems increase grip when damp
  • Patented XYZ Optics® design

Quality Shades........
November 10, 2010

Let me see. Light, comfortable, interchangeable parts, quality shades... Oakley takes what they do seriously,, and it shows. Biking, shooting, all ball sports, fishing, hiking, skiing,, you wont find a better pair of shades for the task at hand. They fit verry well... By the way, if you just need them to keep the sun out of your eyes,, they do that too! I listed cost as a con but, you get what you pay for,, and they offer excellent eye Protection. Altrec's price is very good considering..........

Great Sunglasses for the Active Lifestyle
August 24, 2011

I own (2) Oakley Radar sunglasses, one of them has the Pitch lens. I prefer the Pitch lens over the Range lens. The Pitch lens are smaller and doesn't make me look like I have goggles on. I do have a problem with the frame. I ordered a greyish frame and the grey paint is flaking/scratching off? I would expect a better finish on Oakley sunglasses. I will say that out of all my Oakley frames, I've not experienced any problems with the finish coming off. Must be a fluke, plus Oakley says they'll repair/replace it, I just need to send it in. Overall, I love the Radar frames and can't wait until I have enough money to buy another pair.

They are great! They make the world look better. Very light and will stay on face during sports. I have had not issue when them fogging up while sweating (even in the humid south).

these sunglasses really work. I work in the sun all day, and the uv protection I get, can not be compared to any safety glasses I have ever used. from Iraq, to the the calif. sun.. my eyes are protected.

Lightweight, stylish, multipurpose

Great glasses, with a lot of lens solutions. Wish they still had the G26 iridiums for shooting. I use these glasses in golf, baseball, and shooting. Great fit and customizations to fit any face. There's a reason why the pros use the Radars.

Excellent sunglasses, they are light weight and terrific sun blockers to your eyes. Very nicely made, quality is there. Altrec.com has scored high for selling such as high end products. Thank you again.

I was looking for a pair of sunglasses that would fit comfortably and look good in a full helmet. I took a chance and bought this on-line. Besides looking and feeling great while riding, excellent glare removal. Also easy to put on through the visor area of the full helmet. I recommend these for any rider! Also had excellent side protection for those with half helmets or smaller.

Perfect for biking

Put simply, these latest oakley sunglasses work. The 3 different lenses that come with the Radar frame is a plus, I tried on the sunglasses at an oakley store and they fit well. The "Range" and biggest lens was a little to much for me, the "Pitch" seemed to be the perfect fit for me; the "Path" have a nice curvy sweep from the nose to the sides, though offer a little less protection. Compared to the tried and true M frames that Oakley has been selling for 15 years or something, the Radars are a revelation. The frame is solid yet light as a feather, the optics are top-notch with the G20 Black Iridium lenses blocking just the right amount of light and glare. The hinges move with teflon smoothness and authority, and the rubber actually grips my head slightly above and behind my ears, making them very comfortable. The nose piece and design of the nose "bridge" that anchors the nose arch to the top of the frame is something I haven't ever seen before and makes the nose "interface" just as impressive as the rest of the design. Comes with its own pre-fitted and designed case, which is a nice touch, usually oakley has you pay for the fancy offical case. Very nice, highly recommended.
