Description

Extreme comfort for extreme riders, the Oakley Splice Snowboard Goggles were born when Oakley re-imagined the usual goggle design into a new anatomically engineered skeletal support system frame. These snow goggles have a flexible O-Matter frame that arches over your nose to eliminate pressure and enhance your breathing, using your cheekbones as support with ultra plush triple-density face foam to create a comfy seal. The Plutonite® lens is impact-resistant, filters out 100% of UV rays and is easily interchangeable with a semi-flush lens-mounting design that optimizes peripheral visibility. That means you can see up-and-down and side-to-side without cranking your head around, making it easier to ride fast and always be aware of your surroundings. No need to get out your lens cloth at the summit or in the lift line, these Oakley goggles feature F3 anti-fog technology with dual venting. These goggles are a game-changer. You’ll have to try them on to fully believe how comfy they are.

Best Goggles in a while...
January 18, 2011

Purchsed the Oakley Splice orbit mint with emerald iridium lens. I love the lens, they are very good looking from the outside. This goggle works well with most helmets, and the anti-fog works very well. Overall, the goggles are great for people looking high quality goggles with a great view. The only thing that might set people back is the price, but I think it's definitely worth it!

Oakley Splice Goggle
March 26, 2011

This is just a great goggle. I have previously owned the Oakley A Frame goggle and upgraded to the splice for this season. Although the cost was higher than my previous goggles, they are worth it! I have a normal size head and face and wera a medium helmet and this goggle fits my face perfectly. I have used The Splices both with the Smith Variant Brim and Giro Seam helmets on Wasatch storm days and the Splice goggle has never fogged or failed me. This goggle with the high intensity yellow lens is the ultimate storm skiiing or riding goggle!

Great goggles
February 19, 2011

These are great and COMFORTABLE goggles. They are durable and have great fit. My only complaint is very minor - because of the ample padding they tend to stick out away from your head a little far and impede far left and right peripheral vision but let's be honest, anything that far on your horizon is either too late for you to do anything about or coming at you from the side.... Either way these are great multi-use goggles. I will be purchasing a darker lens for super-bright sunny days though.

Pros: Build quality, Performance, Great value, comfort, Cons: peripheral vision

super!

most dope! cannot go wrong with these goggles. not the most side vision of all types out there, but definitely the sweetest looking with the fire lenses.

Fire Iridium
January 24, 2011

Let me start off letting you know that I have a HUGE Roman nose, like the kind that roams all-over my face. I have always found it more difficult to find goggles that fit my face properly w/o pressing on the ridge of my nose all day. This frame although smaller than most goggles i have had in the past seems to find that little extra room. its a nice stiff frame yet still flexible to your face, giving ya some comfort, (and thats what it's about). I have the fire iridium lens. On the bright blue and even in the overcast afternoons this goggle lens works great, the center of the view seems to make everything a nice soft feeling while the edges of the lens seem to highlight things. i find myself catching a lot more out of the "corner of my eye" all in all the visual clarity is awesome. I did spend a few days in the backcountry and i feel the lens scratched fairly easy when ducking into the tree line. and in the lower light i find my self looking at my own eyes in the reflection. Luck to you.

Great pair of goggles. I really like the nose cut out and the peripherals on the splices are much better than my previous Dragon DX. Love the design and get compliments from my friends all the time! The only downside is the replacement lenses are expensive, but Oakley makes a quality product (you get what you pay for). Definitely recommended.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Cons: Cost

This goggle is epic
December 06, 2010

This goggle is epic. Great huge lens. Shipped so fast. You need a larger frame for circulation and this goggle does it. Great goggle all around. If you are going to do the insert I also recommend this goggle, as long as the shop doing the insert knows what they are doing.

Great goggles
November 26, 2012

I was looking for goggles in an Asian fit, but I decided to try these anyway..they did not disappoint. There's enough flex and cushion for a solid fit. The visibility is great and goggles very stylish. Happy with this purchase after one season.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great value

Good, but not big enough
March 23, 2010

Nice googles, are great for everybody. Comfortable and good for skying. The ventilation is impressive and the optics perform well.

Prefer A-Frame over Splice -
February 22, 2010

I purchased the splice as a potential replacement for my A-Frame, but still prefer the shape of the A-Frame over the splice even though peripheral vision is improved in the splice. Highly recommend the Blue Iridium lens as an all-purpose ski/riding lens; wasn't that taken with the grey polarized lens. Cheers.

Excellent Goggle
December 30, 2010

I have a larger head and face and this goggle fits me very well (my helmet is size XL) I highly recommend this goggle for anyone with a larger face and head who are looking for a stylish goggle. The overall visibility is excellent but I think the downward visibility can be improved. It is good, but not the best out there. If you want the best visibility an OTG goggle may be your best bet but you are going to sacrifice some style for less obstruction to your visibility. Overall, the fit, finish, performance, and style of this goggle cannot be beat!

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Cons: Cost

Comfortable goggles, great optics, fits with Red HiFi helmet
March 18, 2010

Optics are pure Oakley I like the Persimmon lens for day/night versatility, but I see some interchangeable lenses in my future for customization. Best venting and fog resistance I've had on a goggle. Blows away my old Bolle goggles for comfort and optical clarity. Fits great with my Red HiFi helmet (which is a XXL), and the rubber grip on the band holds it in place. Even against my hair, the rubber grip doesn't pull. Peripheral vision is also unmatched.

I haven't had the chance to use these yet, but after trying them on at home I'd say they're definitely keepers. I purchased this particular pair because of the sale price, so not my first pick on style...the part where the strap connects to the goggles sticks out a bit for a petite female face like my own, but the fit is great overall and I have confidence in them to do the job on the slopes!

Pros: Build quality, Ease of use, Great value

Hot Fire
January 25, 2010

Oakley's splice goggles are a definite 5 star product in my book. The craftsmanship on these is superb. Not only do these look great, but the width of the lens itself gives you great peripheral vision on the slopes. Throw in the fact that the fire lenses are so ubelievably hot, and you've got yourself a 5 star pair of goggs. Do it...buy them.

Excelent product
February 21, 2011

Bought these goggles because of the brand and price. Ended up being the best find ever. The goggles were very comfortable to wear and easy to adjust. i also love the fact that i can buy replacement lens's in different colors so i can tailor the goggles for how the weather is out. .

Pros: Build quality, Performance, Great value

Good Goggles.
March 05, 2010

The frame kinda' impedes peripheral vision but regular visibility is greatly improved. The fit is excellent compared to my earlier Smiths.I went with the persimmon lenses as I wanted to do quite a bit of night boarding.

These Rock!
February 16, 2011

I rocked a pair of a-frames for about 7 years, yes they lasted that long, but it was time for something new and these fit the bill. They fit my face perfectly with or without a helmet. They have "Asian Fit" goggles that would supposedly fit my asian face better but I can't see how they'd be any more comfortable as these have no gaps and no pressure points.

Well made and very comfortable. So far fogging has not been a problem. I worry about water damage to lens as stated in direction but have not encountered the problem yet. I wish the cost could be a little less but it falls in price range for quality goggles.

Awesome goggles
March 07, 2013

I've had these for a couple years and they are great. The best part is viewing angle, helmet compatible, and reduced pressure around the nose. Only downside that I have is the lenses (iridium) are somewhat easy to scratch and it's a pain to swap lenses.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Cons: Cost

Comfortable
March 22, 2010

Unfortunately the weather turned warm so i have not had chance to try them out on the slopes yet. But they feel great so far...
