Best ski pack I've seen
December 07, 2010
The quality of this pack is outstanding; extremely comfortable. I am looking at using it for front side skiiing and it should be the perfect size for carrying a layer, snacks and a small camera. If going backcountry and need to carry more equipment, the larger size may be better
Pros: Great design, Build qualityDecember 06, 2010
I am 5'7", 125 lbs female and this pack fit me great. Love the size of the pack! Much more light weight than my old pack. The orange is a really great color. Easy to use camelback access. Good amount of storage pockets inside. It has been great for skiing and nordic tours in Crested Butte Colorado. .
Pros: Great design, Build qualitygood sidecountry pack

Carries weight well. Sucks to the back while riding. The elastic zipper hook for carrying poles in the pack is a sweet feature. I like the two hipbelt pockets. A water bottle pocket like my Dakine Helipro would be nice, but not for riding. With the combo of Altrec's return policy and Osprey's lifetime free repair policy i dont see how I could regret this purchase. The only thing I wish it had that some other packs in this price range have is zippered access thru the back panel.
Pros: Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great valueUsed for backcountry snowboarding day trips

I used the Kode 22 backpack for many single day backcountry snowboarding trips. This backpack looks awesome and has many useful features like the hip belt pockets, roomy avalanche gear pocket, . I used the straps designed for attaching a snowboard to the backpack but the top strap started failing (getting undone!) after about 4 or 5 days of use. In cold temperature when the pressure on the top snowboard carry strap is increased the strap would become undone. Another complaint that I have is that the avalanche gear compartment and the main gear compartment zippers dont open all the way. The advantage of this small opening is that if the zippers are left partially open you gear will not fall out. If you would like to be able to fit your jacket in the pack will hiking Id suggest going for the larger size packs form the Kode series.
Pros: Great value, Cons: Bad design, Poor qualityDid you recently buy the Osprey Packs Kode 22 Backpack? Write a review.

Just got this pack and I already love it! It's still summer so I haven't been able to use it for skiing obviously but everything seems perfect. The orange is an awesome color first off. I ordered a size up because that's all they had left but it still fits just fine. The pockets and compartments are great. I tried fitting an extra jacket in and it fit well. I also love that I can carry my skis A-frame or diagonally plus, I can carry my snowboard. I'm glad there was an instruction manual inside because there are some features I would've missed otherwise. The only semi-downside thing about it is that the zippers don't go all the way down. I'd say they stop about 1/3 of the way down. That's not really a terrible thing but you do have to dig deep into the compartments. Overall I definately recommend it for day skiing and backcountry. If you're going on a long excursion, the next size up might be preferable.

When the packpak arrived we borh were very happy with design. space, many pockets and compartments, insulated hydration sleve, vertical and diagonal ski carry, snowboard carry and special place for your helmet. We ardered backpack size L because that what his size is and it fits great. We are planning back country ski trip in January so I am sure this will be great backpack for it. I am thinking ordering one for myself in a medium size. :-) I recomend this product to anyone.

Great Pack

Just came in this morning, took it for a walk around the woods. I am just over 6' tall and the large is too long. Just sucks having to wait for another one to come in the mail.
Very Comfortable

I have worn it a couple of times and it is very comfortable! Even with a decent amount of weight I wore it for a couple of hours snowshoeing with no problems. The only complaint is that the one zipper pull is stretchy so with gloves on its a little awkward to close the back.
The best Overall pack! Very versatile!

I choose to purchase this pack because I was looking for a new pack to use on campus to carry books and my mac along with an occasional trip backpacking through the woods. As far as the overall purchase, the pack is very useful and its quality is far better than other products. The KODE 22 pack is a great addition to any outdoor fanatic or just your everyday explorer. There is plenty of room and overall great storage space considering the size of the pack. It does not feel too heavy on your back.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great valueExcellent, well-designed pack

This is an exceptionally well-designed, well-made, and functionally excellent pack. It's easy to work with in the field, handles just the right amount of gear, and its "close to the body" fit makes it ideal for skiing and climbing applications. I'm delighted to have found it, very happy with its performance, and would strongly recommend it to others.
great ski pack for its size

For me this is a nice compromise between the larger packs above it and smaller below. It's still got enough space for me to do a fairly extensive day tour fitting shovel, probe, snow saw, crampons, ice axe few extra layers and more in it. quality is typical high osprey, ski attachment it burly and works great in both configurations. If this is the capacity you need it's a near perfect pack I think.
