Love This Pack

This is a high quality pack. I use it for day hikes, biking, and just kicking around wherever I may. The Osprey hydration system works quite well and is nicely integrated into the pack, yet the bladder works well when transferred to any pack when I am backpacking. The Raptor 14 may feel a little small at first, but it works wonderfully for what it is designed to be. You can fit more into it than you initially think, and the straps make it comfortable to wear, even when full.
Pros: Build quality, PerformanceOne Word - Awesome

I finally got to use this pack after having it for a few weeks and it is the best pack i have carried on a long hike. It is lightweight and can carry a whole lot of stuff. The front pocket for rain gear is pretty nifty, but it does make the interior a little smaller but not noticeably. The way the pack is made is pretty gnarly in terms of weight distribution, it was easy to carry and held everything I needed including my buddy's jackets and snacks. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who was listening!
Pros: Ease of use, Great design, Build quality, PerformanceMay 19, 2011
The first criteria for judging a pack should be fit, and in small packs, you usually only get "one size fits all" and they don't. The Raptor comes in 2 sizes allowing an appropriate fit. Beyond this, the Raptor is well thought out, and while using it, I was focused on my ride, and not the pack. When I needed something from its interior it was easily accessible. The "Helmet Loc" is particularly good and reflects Osprey's clever design. I'm now considering Osprey's ski packs as a result of this experience.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great valueGreat pack but iffy Resorvoir

Took this pack to Moab last week and it's great. Awesome compartments and suspension but the Osprey/Nalgene reservoir leaked out of the box, so I had to use my camelback, 3 years old and with a year old duct tape patch that never leaks. Great design and love the magnet for the mouthpiece but stitching a plastic reservoir makes no sense to me. I'll send it back and hope for a quick replacement. Overall a great pack. If you want to ride all day epics, go with the larger model...but you may be pushing it for shorter downhill rides with the extra weight. Overall, love the pack but disappointed in the fancy (leaking) reservoir.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great valueGreat Biking Pack

I bought this pack recently and took it on a trial mountain bike trip. It hugs my torso very nicely, I love the helmet lock (very useful,) The magnets they use for the hydration pack are great, The material feels bulletproof, and the airscape padding they use kept my back very dry. I am in love with this pack. Osprey continues to surpass my expectations.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great valueGlad I waited!

I took my time and looked at several different hydration packs before purchasing the Raptor 14. I am sooooo glad I did!!! I have a camelbak I was using before buying this one and it does not compare nor did I find another camelbak that held a candle to the Raptor. The water bag does not have a funny taste like my camelbak and the magnetic holder for the mouth piece keeps it out of the way while riding my mountain bike. I love being able to store all of my riding gear, including my helmet, on and in the pack when I am walking around. I don't even notice that I have it on my back when I'm riding in the woods. My fellow MTN bikers are saying they are going to get one like it too!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of useJust a good hydration pack....

This pack was on sale when I purchased, it and I couldn't be happier with what I received for the money spent. To begin with my primary use for this pack is mountain biking. Before this I owned a Camelback M.U.L.E. PROS: Light weight, breathable design (much more so than the M.U.L.E.), lots of useful pockets, constructed from materials that wash very easily. The color (green) is pretty attractive as well. CONS: The Nalgene bladder is not my favorite, but this is just personal preference and doesn't interfere with the performance of the pack. Nothing personal, i just prefer platypus.
