Designed with a peripheral LightWire™ frame, a padded AirScape™ backpanel, a gender-specific shoulder harness and a padded hipbelt, the Waypoint pack distributes your load just as well as the Aether or Ariel packs. You’ve got a whopping 65 liters of internal space with zippered mesh pockets and panels to help you keep your dirties and cleans organized and a removable, fully featured daypack with a padded laptop sleeve. Is this a multi-adventure trip? No problem! Perfect Pack for Perfect Trip I purchased this pack because in a few months I will be completing my first round the world trip. I have tested it out on a few short trips and the pack is light and easily acceptable. The daypack appears so far to be pretty secure with the main compartment zipper on the inside of the back panel. All in all very happy with my purchase and believe it will help make my trek much more enjoyable. August 11, 2011
Amazing pack I've used this pack on a 2 week trip to Germany, on a 4 week trip around Europe, and a couple of separate week long trips around the US. It's a bit too big for a week long trip, but perfect for 2+ week long trips. I've had no problem carrying it on domestic US flights (with day pack taken off); no such luck on international flights nor flights within Europe. Soon I'm going on a week long snowboarding trip, and I'll be using this pack since the snow gear takes up so much room. There's only 2 openings into the main compartment of the pack, making it easy to secure with just 2 locks; but that means there's not a convenient pocket to store little things like keys and such, and having them easily accessible -- I guess that's what the daypack is for. Unzipping the main panel gives you access to the entire inside compartment, making it as convenient to load/unload as a suitcase, great step up from my previous travel packs. The harness and hipbelt are very comfortable; and, there's a panel that's normally tucked away that can be used to cover the harness and hipbelt, great for when you need to check your bag at the airport. The detachable daypack has become my best friend while I'm traveling. I carry it with me everywhere I go, use it to hold important documents, maps, rain jacket, bottles of water, camera, etc. I even used it as my only bag on a 3 day trip to Italy, since the main pack was too large for RyanAir and checking luggage was not an option. The daypack is just large enough to hold my 15" Macbook Pro, so I've used it as a laptop bag during conference trips and such. Highly recommend this pack and Osprey in general. December 9, 2010
Nice bag! Very light-weight. Plenty of pockets. Fits quite well. This is my first pack and I'm going on a long journey across 7 countries. We'll see how it holds up!!! October 16, 2010
great pack and great for basic travel this is a great pack for traveling. I used it while traveling through Europe mostly Spain. I love the zip away storage of the straps. And they zip-on/zip-off day pack is awesome! I highly recommend this pack to anyone!! August 3, 2010
