Slept like a baby!

A great option for those buggy trips in the backcountry. Don't like hiding inside your sweaty sleeping bag, suffocating and then waking up even more tired than the night before. The OR bug bivy is the perfect option.

Outdoor Research Bug Bivy (Two Thumbs Up) Just recently returned from a Mission Trip in Haiti and I purchased the bivy for the trip. I got the bivy since I would be sleeping on a cot. The product is light and can pack down small for light travel. No problems with mosquitos and sleeping in the bivy was not a problem. I was worried about rolling around but is was not issue. Excellent product for Bug protection at night! ~Livestrong

I recently picked this up to use in conjunction with my tarp shelter and I was very pleased upon receiving the item. The mesh is some of the best mesh I have ever seen, and the quality seems top notch. I set it up in the backyard and it seemed easy enough. I took it out for an overnight and boy was it a snug fit. I am 5'10" 195lbs and I couldn't roll over without pushing up against the ceiling, I also couldn't even prop my head up on my hands to read a book or take notes. Getting in and out, under the tarp was quite a feat that ultimately always ended up with me tracking in mud and rocks. Without the tarp to duck under, it may have been easier. Also instead of using the supplied delrin pole, I just cut a pole out of some green wood I found, the arch was identical to that of the delrin pole. Weight without delrin pole was 13.5 oz on a kitchen scale. I recommend this product because it was quality built and did what it was advertised to do, however be forewarned that it is a tight squeeze. Not for me.
