The Outdoor Research Equinox Shorts meet and exceed all criteria with a lightweight and fast-drying Supplex® nylon fabric that's UPF rated to 30+ and functional pockets that won't sag or bag like cargo short designs. Outdoor Research designed their Equinox Shorts with a gusseted crotch for enhanced mobility and an integrated belt for sizing convenience on extended hiking and climbing trips. The front and back pockets have mesh linings to facilitate draining after river crossings and boat landings. The 10-inch inseam gives the Equinox Shorts a walking short look that's also perfect for traveling through more civilized surroundings.

Well designed, top quality construction.
I wear size 32W X 32L in Levis, and bought a pair of these pants in size 32W. I felt they fit great, for summer wear. The length was perfect for hiking, not too long, and not too short. I love the 4 zipper pockets, as well as the slash pockets on each side of the pants. All seams were double sewn and the crotch is extremely well designed for comfort of movement both hiking and climbing. The built-in belt allows easy tightening in the waist if necessary. These light weight shorts are certainly great for warm summer days on the trail, or just kickin' in the city. Highly recommended.

Well made and nicely designed. Light weight material but not flimsy. Several zip pockets that lie flat. Comfortable inner waistband that may take a bit longert to dry. Perfect to hike, play in rivers and go into town if need be. Sizing is slightly small.

Well designed, top quality construction.
