Face wrap by Outdoor Research
I currently own about 4 face masks but find them slipping and steaming up my glasses. By far this is the best face mask to protect my skin. It fits my nose and allows me to breathe without feeling claustrophobic. This is the best face mask I have ever owned.

As advertised
Opening for nose and mesh over mouth both fit well. I have an average-sized head for a man, and the large is a great fit. I scored the mask only "good" on comfort, because the velcro can chafe my neck a bit when I run with it on. That said, the chafing goes away if I remove the mask and reattach with the velcro not so tight. Overall I would highly recommend this item for those who want to protect their lungs in cold weather.

Great product
I had this up on a couple of trips up some 14ers. stopped the wind perfectly and could easily breathe! the nose vents are great because them your breath doesn't go up and fog up your sunglasses!

love this mask
wore this in finland while husky mushing, the mask is comfy and warm. the vent is also a great idea, as my glasses usually fogs up when i wear a facemask, but with the vent i didn't have to worry about that.

Great Face Mask
This face mask is made with Gore Wind Stopper, so it's basically a soft shell for your face and neck. What really sets it apart from other face masks is the great design of the nose and mouth areas. The nose is protected from the wind without any material blocking air flow. The mouth port has mesh material over it that doesn't significantly reduce air flow and doesn't wet out easily from your breath. So no "wet face mask against your skin in 35 MPH wind" feeling.
The rear velcro strip also means you can take it off in a second without pulling it off over your head (where it can get caught on your goggles, hat or helmet).

Comfortable & great quality face mask
This mask definitely blocks wind and stays put, even when turning your head. It is true to size. I did not have to order a size up (got a small). Cleans easily. Have used couple times, so cannot say how durable it is, but definitely the most comfortable of face masks. Plus allows goggles to fit on face comfortably (doesn't interfere with goggles on skin). With goggles on, virtually all of face is covered.

Great face protector
I wear glasses and if I wear those one piece hat and face protector my glasses steam up. This is great because there is a opening for your nose and it doesn't fog up your glasses. Would buy again..

Great Mask
I purchased this mask because I had Laser Surgery on my face. I needed something to protect my face against the harsh New England winters. I am a Horse owner and spend most of my day outside in the elements doing chores. This mask is warm and fits well. Also you can breath through it without steaming up your glasses. It washes well. I LOVE this mask !!!

Breathable, light, works with motorcycle helmit
I bought this to warm my face up while riding a motorcycle in the spring. It works better than expected. It really is breathable while keeping warm. It has replaced my balaclava that I used to use. I will also use it as a ski mask or for any type of cold weather activity.

Good Face Mask
This face mask does what it claims to do. It is comfortable, blocks the wind, and keeps my face warm on the chilly mornings i go running in. I would say the only drawback is that it makes breathing a little more difficult due to it restricting some air flow, although i imagine all face masks have this issue. All in all a great product

Great Piece
Works well but a large will need to be ordered to fit most head sizes. Velcro on the back works well for me because I don't have to take my helmet off to put it on.

I like it
I use it when I go sb. it comes esp. handy when it's windy and snow flakes is hitting your face. I might have gotten it in a wrong size but other than that it's a great product!

Works as intended
I just used this for the first time today. It was 28 degrees outside and I had to bike to work. Its only a mile so not to bad but the mask kept my face nice and warm for the quick trip. One note though is that with heavy breathing it will collect some moisture but I'm sure that will happen with any mask.

Would like light colors
I would have rated this product N/A as I have no problems with the quality of the item. I would like to see face masks in light colors, black makes a person look like a suspicious robber. The shipping to try out an item is so high, that a person hesitates buying on-line.

Great Face Mask
The main thing that separates this from other face masks I've used is the mesh area covering the nose and mouth, which allows for breathing without collecting moisture. It stays dry and keeps you warm!

Very Happy
I have had the chance to use this mask several times in the cold Minnesota winter. Recently we have been having -25 temps with windchill around -40. Add that with wind and it is cold!! Overall, I am happy with this mask as it is doing exactly what I needed it too!!It fits well and I have not had any issues with it!!

Awesome Face Protection!
This face mask is the perfect way to keep your face warm and protected! It fits secure enough not to move, but yet is still very comfortable. Stays dry and is very easy to wash! I wear it every day I run, and love it!!!!

yes, it is everything that all the reviews declare.
it is light, fits in a pocket without bulging & when needed, is quite a necessity. really helps in the blustery, cold weather of the northeast without the constraints of a balaclava.

Outdoor Research: Face Mask
I purchased this mask for my husband and he loved it! I was glad it fit him perfectly. It's warm and comfortable and breathable, which he really appreciated. Wrap around feature is very convenient. Great product! I just wish I found it earlier.

Fantastic Product!
I bought it for my husband who has many health issues and occasionally has to spend short periods of time outside for work. It is easy for him to put on, he said it is very comfortable and warm, and best of all his glasses don't steam up! We received the mask in less than a week after I placed the order. We have been completely satisfied with the ordering process and product.

Great for Stromy weather
My friend and I purchased this mask for our snowboarding trip. It was stormy that day with wind chill close to -11 F. This mask kept me warm throughout the whole day. It does collect some moisture though after 2 hours of continuous usage. Overall, I'm satisfied.

Really Works!
I bought two of these masks because I wasn't sure of the size. I bought them for my son to try and thought I would send one back BUT after I tried on the one he didn't use I kept it. Very comfortable even for just walking the dog in 10 degree weather. It is so nice to not have a frozen face when I get home!

this face mask does the job nicely.
This face mask is well tailored to fit the lower part of the face, without restricting movement, while keeping the cheeks and chin warm and the goggles clear (no fogging problems experienced)

After weeks of internet surfing looking for a mask. I can honestly say that i found what i was looking for, its very comfortable and easy to put on using the velco. I really like the way it stays in place when you move and it doesnt feel like your choking. I really recommend this product!!!

So glad I tried it!
After dealing with 4 cases of bronchitis and 5 asthma flares last winter from running in the cold I decided to get smart and try one of these masks. It is UNBELIEVABLY effective. It is very comfortable to wear (no suffocation and very flexible), my face doesn't burn from the wind, & my lungs aren't screaming. I am at buying at least one more of these--highly recommended for anyone who works or plays outside in the cold.

Great
My husband was looking for a mask that won't blurry his glasses when he rides his motorcycle. I found this site and bought the mask and he is so happy that now he wants to have cold weather to use it.

Love It!!!!
This is great for running!! Very comfortable!! Velcro in back makes it so easy to put on. I found that most face/neck masks make me feel like I can't turn my head to the side or it 'moves' out of place(nose-mouth openings), but this mask is great!! You can turn your head and it moves with you!! Also with most masks, I feel like I can't breathe-like I'm sucking in 'old' air with not enough oxygen-this mask is great, somehow it blocks the wind yet lets fresh air in without feeling cold. Normally I cannot run in cold weather because I will get sore throats(and other masks "suffocate")-but this mask has made outdoor winter running possible again!! Yeah!!!

I was a bit worried about being able to breathe through the mask. But the mesh part is really awesome. PLus it's comfortable to wear.

Awesome Cold Weather Value
This is just a great piece of gear to have for those occasions when nothing else will do. Easily stows away in a pocket and is ready when you need it. On a really cold day or you've been out there too long and the sun is going down, this face mask provides that extra bit of comfort that make all the difference between wishing I never went out there and having a GREAT DAY. Da! The sizing seems pretty true, but if things always seem small on you, then you might want to size up.

I very rarely give a perfect review (I'm a very critical person by nature), but this experience deserves it. Customer service is awesome. I read a review below about sizing. I am 5'9 150 pounds with an average sized head. The medium fits perfectly. The large would probably have been too big for me. Use altrec's sizing chart. A perfect fit is what resulted for me using this chart.. Thanks altrec!

Great Product
Went skiing the other day,it was 12 deg. Worked great, no cold face. Velcro made it easy to put on and take off. Altrec is great company to order from. Speedy shipping and no hassle return. Had to send first one back because of size.

Asthma Relief!
I have been unable to run outdoors in the winter for years because the cold, dry air causes asthmatic coughing fits. I love the Outdoor Research mask because it warms the air coming in, but doesn't cause a bunch of soggy moisture build-up around my mouth. Now,for the first time in years, I can run outdoors in the winter and am not trapped indoors on my treadmill. The only thing I would change is having a method for figuring out the correct size to order. I ordered a small, and it's a bit snugger than I'd like. The small size seems more appropriate for children than adults. If you're a petite adult, order a medium.

84 year old up-state NY woman loves this face mask
I purchased this face mask for my 84 year old mother, Sarah, who lives in frigid upstate NY near the Canadian border. She suffered from severe head aches after being exposed to the seemingly ever present sharp winds of winter so of course she avoided going outside for walks which she normally enjoyed very much. She loves this mask because now nothing can stop her from stayng healthy and in shape all winter so she can remain strong for spring gardening . Now she will also be able to put the snow shoes she bought to use more.

Does a great job!
I walk outdoors all year around and the Northeast winters can really chill when the temp is 12 degrees and the wind is whipping. I have enough winter gear to keep reasonably warm but my face would always freeze. I recently bought a windstopper face mask and it really does work. I won't walk without it now on cold days. I would recommend it to anyone who spends a lot of time outdoors in winter time. Th only drawback is that you may appear to some that you are about to hold up the local stagecoach. Personally I'd rather be warm then care about that.

Works Great!
I wear glasses and do a lot of Astronomy outdoors on cold freezing nights for long hours. I find that the typical full face baclava interferes with the side arms of my glasses, hence I got this. It works great! Wind stopping capability is excellent, the gauze for exhaling prevents my glasses from fogging up. It is also very comfortable to wear for hours on end.
