Helmetclava
I bought the helmetclava to use when I ski and when I ride motorcycles. The clava works wonderfully. It blocks out the all the wind while skiing or riding motorcycles and is warm while doing so. I would definately recommend this clava to anyone!

Could Have Been the Sizing...
I returned my Helmetclava before I used it, so, while I can't vouch for the warmth or durability, it did seem well-made and reasonably warm while still being very lightweight. The main reason I sent it back was that just trying it on and moving my head sent the lower edge of the eyehole right up into my eyes. No matter how I tried to adjust it, I couldn't fix the problem. The upper skullcap piece also kept wanting to slide backward. It could be that I had the sizing wrong, and it's likely that the skullcap would stay put under a helmet, but I'd been hoping that I'd be able to use this 'clava for running, but there was no way. I guess I should've taken the name "Helmetclava" more literally, but I liked other features and thought I'd give it a shot.

Good selection
My husband and I walk our Golden no matter how cold and windy it is. The Wind Pro products are wonderful having bought a hat last year and never have been cold wearing it. It is extremely windy here and in the winter a face mask is a must on long walks in below freezing temps. Yes it definitely makes my husband look like a Ninja but he's warm! Recommended under a hat as well. Our only disapointment was that several other Outdoor Research products were sold out for the season.

very relieved
I had bought three helmetclavas for a recent ski trip and they worked very well. The wind proof areas kept our faces and necks very warm. The only draw back was the top part not staying in place without either a helmet or hat over it. It didn't muffle any sound, and we just had to make sure it wasn't tucked inside our goggles or the goggles fogged up. It was easy to breathe in while pulled over our mouths. The small fit our 10 year old. We have used them while shoveling and while snowblowing and it has kept us all warm.

great flexibility
the problem with most balaclavas is what to do with the facemask when you do not need full coverage (ie overheating on ride) and still be comfortable. OR solved this problem with this line of headgear - the skullcap is slightly separate from the facemask portion, and the fabric is stitched so it overlaps.
cold? pull it up past your chin, mouth or nose.
warm? slide i back down.
does not bunch up - neck coverage is good - cut higher in the back so it is confortable when on the bike.
only issue is that i wish there were windproof panels over the ears.
granted - this would limit a bit of your ability to hear, but would make it a bit warmer.
oh - and the flat stitched seams are placed to the side and out of the way - which is a nice feature as well when wearing a helmet.

Best I've found so far
We tried the face mask version which is pretty good but slips off a bit; this full balaclava version is even better. Can def recommend

Excellent design!
I haven't tried it out in the cold yet, but it fits perfectly, it's designed very well, and judging from my previous experiences with Windstopper, it'll likely be very warm.

Warm with wind protection
Bought this to use under my motorcycle helmet on REALLY cold days. It fits great under the helmet and keeps my neck and face from freezing at 80mph when its below 32 F.
