I bought this hat for my 3-year old son but the size M/L is too big for him. The hat is OK for my brother (his head circumference is 56cm) In general, it's a very light, warm and soft hat, we all liked it.

This hat from OR is well made and very warm. Great hat for a style savvy young person. The best feature is its liner of wind proof material, it adds comfort and reduces heat loss. The M/L sizing seems to be on the "large" side so you will want to measure the potential recipient's head and consult the sizing chart. Definitely a good choice for outdoor activities.
