The Kids' Outdoor Research Sentinel Hat™ is treated with Insect Shield® and helps protect against mosquitoes, ticks and other biting insects, including those that can carry disease. Great hat for kids

I bought this hat in small for my 20 month old and medium for my 3 1/2 year old. Love this hat, keeps them out of the sun. I think it is true to size, my kids have average size heads. It does have a drawstring around the hat that you can cinch to adjust the hat size a little. The breakaway drawstring under the chin is the best feature for me, it cinches tights to help keep the hat on but with breakaway if my active kids get it stuck on something. Not sure about the bug repellent feature yet, we have not encountered bugs yet this season.
