perfect for hike n ski
I've had these on a number of hike n ski jaunts in the Utah backcountry and they are perfect. They seal out the snow on big powder days and they unzip all the way up for those days when it gets a boiling hot on the way up, and they don't weigh a ton. Buy mediums if you're around my size, 6' 1" and 174lbs, 31-32" waist, but don't forget to buy suspenders because they can pull down while skinning. Another thing that I like is that they don't pull too bad on my knees while skinning up. They are just as nice as my buddies $400.00 "canadian" pants.

overall excellent buy
I bought a pair of these a few of months ago and have been been very pleased. I have worn them for a 3 day backpacking trip through the Smokies where it rained for almost 8 hours straight on day. The pants very quite breathable, but a little warm (mostly due to the temps outside) and they survived several scrapes and snags without a hiccup. Have also worn through backpacking trips in the Rockies and very pleased with the performance. They pack well but are not pocket sized. I did not need to use the gaitors but they will come in useful for some upcoming hikes that I have planned. If you are looking for a gore-tex product that is light, but durable, I would highly recommend this product. Good luck!

Quality Product
I have been mountaineering and found that this product serves as an excellent top layer which will keep you dry and shields you from the wind. Quality product worth the price.

Awesome pants!
Wow, I like these pants more than I even thought I would. My experiences with the Gore-Tex paclite material have been mixed. Typically the paclite shells have felt thin and I was always worried about them getting ripped. Not with these. These pants feel tough as nails. The paclite feels as strong as the reinforced pro-shell areas. Fantastic pants! The fit is true to size.

OR Strong On Quality
OR garments have consistently performed well for me considering the abuse and extreme conditions I put their products through. I can see and touch the quality in this recent purchase. The fit is just right me for me considering I have a developed lower body. The waist and length are true to size. I matched the Furio Pants with the Furio Jacket and am very well pleased with both my purchases. I looked at many products in this category and made the right decision to replace my old blown out Paclite rain gear with the Furio products. I would recommend both of these OR products for any one wanting long lasting quality.

Great pants!
Great hard shell pants to keep you bone dry in the rain and snow. Removable gaiter is a nice touch, while the draw cord on the cuff of the pants is nice to pull tight against your boots. These are non-insulated, so make sure you get a size that will accommodate insulating layers such as fleece or other under layers. Overall, a great pair of pants to keep the outside elements outside.

Can you say DRY
Well made, tough. I had tried MH Stance but they don't fit me as well as the OR Furio

Very Good Outer layer
These are non isulated outer layer pants. Water tight zippers on both legs prevent any leaking. I worn them skiing in Colorado and was happy. (I like non-isulated pants and jacket as a outter shell and vary the thickness of thermals based on outside temp.) Have worn these camping with Boy Scouts on a rainy weekend and my pants stayed very dry. Easy to clean afterwards. Cons: Only one small front pocket, I missed the lower leg pocket on my old pants. Side Zippers do not provide the best ventilation, but is works OK. OR's Suspenders are convienant, but must be ordered separately.
