Helium worth every penny
June 04, 2013

Bought this jacket as a last minute kayaking layer, something mainly for windy days and sea spray, it is a great investment... The fit doesnt interfere with paddling, there is nothing to it . So lite and minimal i forgot i was wearing it under my lifevest. This is a great piece for added insurance against weather and wont take up any precious space or weight in a boat. Comes in bright colors which is great for high visibility on the water and outdoor activities.

Perfect
April 23, 2013

At 6.4 oz. this is the perfect rain jacket to carry in your light, small backpack. I've worn it in the rain and it keeps you dry. Would like the hood to fold to a collar, but it works fine.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use

This shell is so light it should always be with you. I use it for an outer layer when ice climbing and it sheds any water that comes down on me. I wore it alpine climbing in the Canadian Rockies as my bomber outerwear. In the spring/summer/fall it's barely noticeable insurance against the imminent afternoon thunderstorm - priceless.

Pros: ultra light
Comfort: 4 / 5
Durability: 4 / 5

Helium II-Must Have
April 12, 2012

This layer I find extremely useful rock climbing in the desert or alpine, ski touring, or trekking; this layer I always find in my kit. Super light!! At 6.4 oz It's too light and compact to not at least have with you. It is the go to layer when I'm not sure if I want to bring a waterproof layer (but can't afford not to), don't have the room for a standard GORE storm shell, or don't want the weight. This Pertex light weight shell is a perfect solution for keeping it light when you want to stay dry. Great stash pocket that packs smaller than a quart size zip-lock and clipped to my harness.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great value, Performance
