perfect climbing/touring glove
March 29, 2013
I've owned a few other pairs of OR gloves, so I'm kinda of biased toward their products. Versatility is a high priority for me with any piece of gear, and OR's line of gloves offer just that - lots of options and ways to combine insulation, liners, and shells. I chose the luminary because it pairs a fleece liner in a soft shell glove, which can be worn independently. The fit is perfect, maintains dexterity, and feels very warm - yet my hands don't overheat as they have in the past with a waterproof glove. Both liner and shell are very comfortable, breathe well and dry fast. As far as durability is concerned, I've only used them a few times so far, but every other OR glove I've owned has stood up to the test of time, and the company stands by their infinite guarantee (i.e. forever). If you really can't live without a waterproof shell, then add the mt. baker shell mitt.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Great value, warranty - infinite guaranteeAlready own the Outdoor Research Luminary Gloves? Tell us your thoughts.
