PL Mitts = Awesome
February 13, 2011
These mitts are super warm. I use them as a liner under waterproof mitts or as a layer over liners in dry conditions. Either way, they're toasty! Fit seems true to form; I can fit a size Medium under a Medium shell or over a medium liner glove. Durability is looking good too. So far, no signs of wear. The grip on the palms is different than some of the pictures, but it still works fine.
Pros: Great design, PerformanceToasty Fingers @ 10 Degrees

First time I've tried mittens, and these sure did the job! A little heavier than some I've looked at, but plenty of room in the finger area. I'm between a large and x-large glove and large fit just fine.

Great liners. I use them in my OR shell - the work great, and will keep you warm under the worst conditions! They are very warm and comfortable. I wouldn't recommend them for use without a shell though.

versitile mitten liner used with or without shell

I like the material type of these better than the normal fleece liners. I only need liners for heavy arobics but with regular fleece mitts if I fall in the snow they get wet. The material these are made of don't pick up snow as easily so stay drier when used without a shell. When used with a shell they stay in place nicely with the palm grip.

Great mittens! Warm! Well constructed. Grip does not look like the picture, but works fine. Mittens clip together. There is also an elastic band inside each to attach to a jacket.

love this for skate skiing in the winter - keeps your fingers warm and is flexible and roomy enough to be able to handle your poles and clip in and out of bindings.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, Cons: noneExcelent mittens for running.

I decided I wanted a pair of mittens for running on cold Colorado winter mornings. Heavy gloves, even with liners, still left my fingers cold. With these mittens and a hotbox, my fingers stay nice and warm for the length of my run.
Excellent mittens
February 25, 2011
These mittens are light weight, warm enough for winter hiking when the temperature isn't too low, wind proof, and a great value. I suffer with Raynaud's Syndrome (cold hands from faulty internal thermostat) and I have a pair of OR Northwall mittens for serious cold or when my hands get too cold or wet. However, I rarely use them, mostly using the PL 400s. My only "issue" is that I put a run in the fabric early on bushwacking through some thickets. In time I'll get a better sense if the fabric on the mittens is a bit too fragile for tougher hikes/snowshoes off trail.

Great Mittens Made for Men
December 18, 2010
It's hard to find any fleece mittens for men. These are lightweight but warm--perfect for everyday wear here in New Hampshire. They are nicely designed and dressy enough to wear anywhere. The silicone "grips" are different from what is shown on the Web site, but they are perfect for driving and grabbing onto anything. Unless it is bitter cold outside with howling winds, you should be able to wear these mittens by themselves.
Pros: Great design, Build qualityDurable fleece mitten

Well-constructed, and palms have great grip. Great if worn inside a mitten shell for very cold, windy conditions. For milder conditions, they work well for aerobic activities.

Good, flexible gloves at a great price

I ordered the gloves hoping that they would serve for driving and outdoor odds and ends. What I got was a pair of mittens that work for not only the utility ends I wanted but also for sport and outdoor recreation. Light, warm and comfortable they've proven to be an Excellent choice.

These coyote colored mittens are the perfect outer-layer for the winter outdoors.I have size large hands, so therefore XL mittens afford me the luxury of removing them quickly.I also wear their cousin coyote PL gloves underneath. If you need anymore than that, stay at home on the front porch.
