Men's Sequence Duo Tee 4 5 4 4
Very nice fitting and looking tee shirt I purchased the grey/black tee shirt. The fit is perfect and the look is great. I am a small medium and this fits like a glove especially in the shoulder/arm pit area. Actually, I will be purchasing another in a different color. November 18, 2011
A durable performer!! I have wanted one of these shirts for some time now. So when I got my bonus the only question was which color scheme to choose. Which wasnt a tough descision as they are all great. Usually I wear a mens Large but I settled for X-Large so I wouldnt have to wait any longer. The material is superb and indeed feels like cotton against the skin. The seams didnt bother me once and the Sequence Duo wicks and dries quickly. I am a tree climber by trade so I certainly put it to the test. In my line of work I am used to replacing shoes, pants, and especially shirts regularly. Most articles just arent capable of handling the day to day rigors of tree work. Sharp tools, abrasive tree bark, fuel spills, pine sap, briars, I could go on and on. I dont know why but for some reason this shirt doesnt snag and pull like my polyester shirts. I simply wanted a shirt that wouldnt bog down with sweat after 30 minutes of activity. Well, not only were my hopes fulfilled but at the end of the day the shirt doesnt even smell. September 6, 2011
A big time favorite I've owned a Sequence Duo Tee for about 2 years now and have worn it ragged. I also own 3 of the regular Sequence Tees and 1 of the long sleeve Sequence Zip Necks. Today I just received my 2nd Duo Tee. First, the fabric is just top notch - very soft and silky - with none of the "plastic" feel of the Patagonia Cap 1 (which I do like and wear a lot also). The fabric feel of these Sequence Tees can almost be described as "luxurious." Performance-wise, yup, I've tested 'em in below freezing weather and zero degree weather and during high intensity activities, such as x-country skiing in 5 degree weather and dragging a field-dressed deer for miles in below freezing weather - working up quite a sweat in the process. The fabric performs superbly in terms of warmth, wicking, comfort, and never building up an odor. Second, I've read the previous comment giving the Duo Tee only 2 stars due to seam discomfort in hot weather. I'd never thought about or noticed this and had to inspect my old Duo Tee compared with the one received today. I also inspected my "regular" Sequence Tees. The seams haven't changed from the old to the new, but it is true that the seams in the Duo Tee can't really be considered truly "flat" (where the different colors meet). So I can see where the other reviewer found them to be a nuisance in hot weather. Still, in the 2 years I owned the previous one, this never registered. But I also live in Montana and don't use this shirt on a consistent basis in hot, humid weather. The "not-entirely-flat" seams might be a nuisance to me too if I lived in that type of climate year round. Lastly, you should know that the regular Sequence Tees (both long and short sleeve) do NOT have these same seams. So if you anticipate you might be bothered by them, buy the Sequence Tee rather than the Sequence Duo Tee. Problem solved. Ultimately, the fabric OR uses in these shirts is impressive and that extra merino wool component seems invaluable in terms of comfort, warmth, staying dry, and not smelling. My two-year old version of the Duo Tee does have some pilling now, but I wear it just as much and performance is still just as great. I'll be buying more of both types and recommend you do too!! Nice look - Annoying comfort I purchased this shirt because of the OR name. The gear I've used from Outdoor Research has always come through when the weather doesn't cooperate. So, understandably I felt adding a performance shirt for the warmer months would become an instant favorite. The positive: Colors are true and the visual contrasting design gives style to a performance shirt. The fabric is silky and soft yet not staticy...which is refreshing with these types of shirts. The con: The stiching. I hate tags so I never felt comfort would be a problem. However, I no longer wear this shirt because the seams along the upper back are a nuisance. Unfortunately, being a warmer weather shirt, the prospect of layering it just doesn't make much sense to me so I'm stuck with a nice looking shirt that isn't comfortable... I'll be more selective in the future with my lighter weight shirt purchases from OR. December 5, 2010
