super performance/style
March 19, 2011

I bought this jacket after freezing my tail off at a nordic race in Canada. The OR hoody is great; even with the hoody down the collar/hood keep my neck toasty. This piece is surprisingly light- also like the trim fit vs std down jackets.

Great Jacket
January 23, 2011

Overall, this jacket is awesome. It is warm, comfortable, and it fits perfectly. I'm 6'4" and 200 pounds; I got an XL and it is perfect with a fleece underneath. Honestly, it is the perfect jacket for me. This morning in Minnesota it was -30, -45 windchill and with a fleece underneath, it kept me nice and warm. Its very breathable, I stay warm and not hot. It super compressible, and even though it probably isn't supposed to, it stuffs down nice enough to double as a pillow. Buy one--its guaranteed forever.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, comfortable

Very Happy
December 12, 2010

This product is just amazing. It is toasty warm and so light you can stick it in a backpack without knowing its there. You need a rain cover for wet weather but in the snow this thing is a charm. I liked the fact that the hoody adjusts at the back so its not in your face when walking. There was only one thing that could be improved -- If I could have bought a navy blue or gunmetal grey one I would have liked more choice in colors. I bought the black and am happy with it, but a little more choice would have been better.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Great value, warm !!!, Cons: choice of color limited

Great for backcountry adventures
April 21, 2011

I bought this jacket for a light weight and compact source of warmth when backpacking in the snow and cooler seasons. I was able to test it out on an overnight backpacking trip in the snow in around 20 degree weather. It was very nice to pull this jacket out of my backpack and put it on while setting up my tent and tinkering around in my tent. I also wore it when I slept and it was very comfortable and warm, especially with the hood. This is a great source of compact warmth.

Pros: Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, comfortable

Great Product
April 03, 2011

I love the jacket, especially for the value! It is light weight, comfortable, and very warm. This jacket layers very nicely but when it gets too warm takes up no space in my pack. I would recommend this to anyone who partakes in outdoor activities that require layering. I used this jacket fly fishing on a very cold and windy day and it kept me very warm. Also a great jacket to wear around. I can't wait to continue to test it out!

Excellent Value
April 23, 2012

Fits very well. Almost an athletic fit. Easy to layer over. Fits a thin layer under. If you want to layer over a bulky fleece you'll need to size up. Very streamlined, I wouldn't mind wearing it around town. Haven't tested at temps below 55 so I can't really say, but it seems like it will be very warm. Compresses very small. My small size weighs 13.8 oz so kinda on the heavy side but at below ninety bucks who's complaining.?

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great value, Cons: a bit heavy
Comfort: 5 / 5
