The color is a bit bright and I would have actually preferred navy blue or even brown. The hat definitely blocks the wind and appears to be made well -- e.g., nicely stitched seams and quality of fabric met my expectations. Could be a little longer but it does cover my ears. It was difficult to find a hat that covers my ears.

This hat sure keeps the head warm; definitely windprood. I haven't used it in extreme blizzard conditions, but have used it on long walks on chilly days in Alberta, Canada and New Hampshire. The hat keeps wind out and keeps the head nice and warm at 20F temperatures easy. The best part is, you don't feel it on your head! This hat is flimsy, but in a good way! Not a con, but one might have to go one size larger of one wants the ears fully covered

Very good for winter activities. It is very warm and fits very well. Geat design that what I like about most . I like so much that I am planing to by another one for my wife.

Warm, durable, definitely blocks wind, fit is great - deep, and it looks cool - nuff said. I buy new winter hats every year. I'm obsessed with finding the perfect hat for all occassions. I plan to buy another Norse hat. Hopefully more colors available soon.
