THIS ITEM WAS EXACTLY AS I HAD HOPED. MADE OF VERY STRONG MATERIAL AND PLENTY OF LENGTH. ONLY WISH IT CAME IN OTHER COLORS. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

This strap was purchased for my old Moor & Mountain external frame pack (1972), which I still use. The pack straps were not built for a sternum strap, but the O.R. strap fit nicely with lots of length for adjustment. Fit and finish are typical Outdoor Research (excellent). Will work well as a new addition or as a replacement. If you need a sternum strap, this one is highly recommended.

I find that a sternum strap is far more important to the stability and carriabilty of a BP than a hip belt, yet many UL BP's do not include them. I was able to wrap the ends around the shoulder straps without sewing, making the strap adjustable on the fly. Good product, well constructed and thought out.

This strap is a perfect replacement to my broken one on an old pack. It is easy to attach and adjusts nicely.
