Great protection for my clothes
December 15, 2011

I have a 10L dry sack, and so far it has proven its efficiency. It had kept all my hiking/travel clothes dry during my trips to snowy mountains. It's thinner than I thought, but not to a point where it's easily torn/ripped. Overall; good quality dry sack. I'd buy it again; probably 15L or larger.

Pros: Performance, Ease of use

Good dry bag for kayaking
November 24, 2010

Dry bag is very lightweight and appears to be quite durable. It is reasonably waterproof in rain and splashes, but expect some whater to sip through on complete immersion. This is pretty much true for any dry bag I tried in my kayak. Overall a good choice.

Pros: Build quality, Ease of use

Worth the price

I have used my OR bags several times. They are light, they make organizing gear easy, and although I have only used them once or twice at this point - they look durable. They are a little fussy to close tightly because of air bubbles, but then the hermatic seal is the point after all. If they put a valve in it, it would cost more and add to the weight.

The see-in-the-dark stuffsack!

The world is in love with this Lemongrass color, like it hasn't been around for a long time. But I believe International Orange has been replaced by a color that is more pleasing to the eye.And three sizes are available:10L,15L & 20L,all with a draw string and cord lock.

Forms leaks quickly
September 18, 2011

If you have anything that scuffs or rubs the inside surface of the bag, they will not remain waterproof!!! This is the downside of an ultra-light bag. I took two brand new bags on a 2 week outing. The larger bag was used for my clothing, and the smaller bag was used as a food bag. The food bag contained the usual goods including several Mountain House freeze dried food packages. I rinsed out the bags after coming home. The smaller bag has developed countless areas of 'white waxy haze' on the inner surface of the bag. I believe are scuffs from the sharper edges of the Mountain House packages which are scraping off the silicone lining. I could apply McNett's silnylon repair sealant, but there are just too many scuffs to count, and I'm sure I will not get them all. I filled the bag with some water, and indeed, there are many many many leaks. There are only a few (3 or 4) tiny white scuffs (1mm in size) on the bottom of the larger bag, and when filled with a small amount of water, there are about 4 leaky spots at the bottom of the larger bag. I'll apply McNett's Silnylon repair sealant on the larger bag, but I'm confident these bags will continue to develop leaks in the future. BOTTOM LINE: Yes, they are waterproof when you buy them. But if anything scuffs the inside of the bag (zipper, multi-tool, or any hard sharp edge), you will lose the waterproofing. Just because they don't tear doesn't mean they will last in function. I'm tempted to fork out the $$$$ and have a try at Granite Gear's new Uberlight CFT3 bags.

super light
December 14, 2012

I received the package yesterday and am very excited to use it. The sack is super light. The size is bigger than I thought but the material is so thin and light that I can fold it down to smaller size sack. One think I wish it had some sort of strap for easy carrying.

Pros: Ease of use, Great value

Exactly what I need
January 10, 2012

I use the OR Dry Sacks for organization within my pack. One 15 liter for gear, one for clothing. That way I always know where my stuff is. This winter, I've used a 35 liter as a "drop bag" for hiking mountains from a base camp. I can leave my sleeping bag, tent, and other items that I don't need in my daypack and know that they will be dry and in one place. Plus, that way I'm not leaving a big ol' pile of gear that may walk away. Are they waterproof? Who knows? I'm not swimming with these. I do know that when I roll them down they puff up with air if I have not purged it already. Seems to be a pretty good indicator of water-resistance to me! Great gear!

Pros: Build quality, Ease of use, Great value
