I love this vest. It's my favorite. It packs super light for backpacking, everyday use. I break it out almost daily when the air gets cool. It's great for layering and it's super-cute. It has a great fit and is durable. -Not the warmest, but with layers it's great. Adorable too.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Cons: Cost

This is a great vest to layer or wear alone. The hood is fantastic on extra crisp days, can be a little static. The look of the vest is flattering with the chevron sewn pattern. Great must have vest.

Awesome Vest!!
March 05, 2012

I had been comparing vests for a few months and finally decided on this one and I couldn't be happier! It's super light weight yet very warm and it packs down really small. Also the hood is nice on windy days and it has a good amount of pockets. It fits great and isn't overly puffy or bulky. It's great for town or on the trail, I love this vest!!

Great vest!
January 13, 2011

Loved the styling online and ordered based on other great reviews and quality of OR gators owned. Only question was fit - I'm a size 4 top and 5'5" and usually a S but sometimes XS is better. Altrec CS rep did some research and advised that OR's size S is likely an althletic (trim) fit. Followed his advice and ordered S, and it's a perfect fit in every place and way! Not snug, not baggy, perfect amount of room for layering but still fits nicely when not layering. Very lightweight yet plenty warm/breathable. Nice finishing touches. Love the hood for cooler months; wish they made a hoodless model warmer weather. I'll order more colors. Love it and great service from Altrec!

Great fit, warm and looks great! the hood is not really necessary, but looks nice. It is so light it is like wearing nothing, but makes you feel warm and cozy. A must for a cold, wintery day!

love this vest

I love this vest! It is lightweight , soft and beautifully made. I ordered it in fuchsia which is a fun color and would also like one in black. Many vests are too bulky but this is the perfect weight and it fits well. Also, it is a flattering style and I like the hood which makes adds some style and would be great on the beach. I would encourage anyone to buy this vest.

Awesome vest!

This is a great vest. I love that it has a hood, and I wear it almost every day. It is thin enough to fit under my winter coat, which I love, but is also warm enough to wear on its own.

Not puffy
January 12, 2013

This vest looked nice on, but just wasn't what I was looking for. I didn't like the band at the bottom and around the arm holes - made it pull in a little bit. I suppose that keeps the wind out which makes me think it would work great as a second base layer. I ordered a size small (5'4" and 128 lb) and it fit fine but not much room to layer underneath. I wanted a comfy, cozy, puffy vest and this just isn't it. It is thin (not cheap) and definitely not puffy. Had to return it - too bad because I got it on a superb deal!

January 08, 2012

I bought this coat for work but I like it so much I am buying a second one. It is very comfortable and the hood comes in handy. It is perfect for layering which is great when you work outside. As far as the fit, I am tall 5'9" and average build the coat is long enough. I bought a large in woman's and there is room to layer other clothing and it's not tight. I have received many compliments on the coat from friends and family. I also saved quite a bit compared to the local store where I could have purchased the exact coat. Thanks Altrec!

good value
April 07, 2011

I purchased this vest during a major sale and it was a tremendous value. It is light in weight but very warm. It is much longer than I expected, but now that I have gotten used to the longer length I actually like it - keeps my butt warm !

Pros: Performance, Great value

nice fit but not on its own for under 32 degrees
January 15, 2009

A very nice, well fitting attactive item. However, in Washington DC it would not work on its own when it gets much below freezing, even with layers. Nevertheless, I kept it because it was so pretty and fit well. I use it for milder winter days and in fall/early spring, which isn't bad at all.

Top Pick in My Book!
December 13, 2010

I currently work for a leading sportswear company and fell in love with this vest. I bought one and then found alternate colors through Altrec.com so I ordered another and I wear it constantly! It's warm but light and I can wear it under my apron at work. I recently took a trip and the vest packs down into the stuff sack perfect for travel too! I would have to highly recommend this product. Also, I price shopped multiple sites and Altrec had the best pricing and I get another discount for writing this review!
