I am 5'4 tall size 14-sleeves are too long
May 22, 2012

Coat is a good quality. Black color looks better than plum. Looks stylish and not too heavy. Will be a great wear in a car, zipper opens in both directions which is great for a car driving. Sleeves are too long for me, but they can be tucked inside and you can't tell the difference. I like the length and coat overall is kind of sophisticated.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use
Cons: Cost
Comfort: 5 / 5

Lightweight but warm coat
January 22, 2012

I have not owned this coat very long, but love it so far. The coat is extremely lightweight, but very warm. I wore to an outdoor mall with temps in the 20s and was comfortable. I ordered a medium--I am 5'4" and 125 lbs. The sleeves are a touch too long, but not long enough to bug me. I usually wear a medicum in Outdoor Research, and and small/medium in Patagonia and North Face (for comparision purposes). I like that the coat keeps your backside warm, but doesn't feel like you are wearing a sleeping bag. The hood is detachable, so if you are not a hood person, you can remove it. I would recommend this product, both for daily use and travel as it is so lightweight.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use

Great, classy, lightweight down parka
December 19, 2011

My husband purchased this coat for my birthday in November. He owns an Outdoor Research 700 down coast and loves it. He had many options, Patagonia, Northface and Columbia. But he kept saying, Outdoor Research makes great quality products, at a lower cost than the others. Since receiving I have worn my coat in weather that has been as warm as 60 degrees, to as low as 10 degrees. The coat just wears well, and is beautiful to look at. The length is appropriate for activity, but also looks well for more formal dress.

Love the Coat, but it runs big!
November 26, 2011

This coat is so light and so warm, it feels fantastic on. However, I will need to return it and exchange it for a smaller size. I'm a 12 on top and an 8 on the bottom and I'm swimming in this coat.

Would not recommend
April 11, 2011

I was looking for a mid-length down coat. I liked the light-weight and soft feel to the jacket. However...the zipper was of poor quality and the cut was not very nice. Therefore, I returned the coat.

Love it!
March 28, 2011

This is a great coat at a great price. I'm about 5'4" 130lbs and the Small fits perfectly and is extremely comfortable. I have noticed that if I have something in my pockets the coat poofs up a bit around my middle, but it doesn't bother me too much. I was hoping to find a smiliar coat with better rain protection. Since this is down I can't wear it when it rains. However, it is very warm and comfortable and for the price it can't be beat.

great coat but runs too large.
March 24, 2011

This is a great coat-it is designed beautifully and is a perfect length especially for someone who is not too tall like me. BUT It runs large-I feel it should be alot smaller and streamlined in the fit especially in a long "down" type coat where you do not want to look big. I would have kept the coat if it was 2 sizes smaller. I bought and XS and I am 5'3, 103 lbs. and there was no way I could keep the coat(althought I did love the looks of it) as it just was too big. I hope OR makes an adjustment to size for next year and then I would buy the coat!

Pros: Great design, Ease of use, Great value
Cons: runs too large

Aria Parka
March 23, 2011

I am enjoying the parka as it has kept me toasty warm and is so very comfortable, very light for a down parka. Although, it tends to litter my clothing with small down remnants...which can be annoying and the zipper could be better quality. The design is also very flattering. Bottom line-functional and comfortable

Pros: Great design, Ease of use, Great value, comfortable
Cons: poor quality zipper, leaks down

Warm, light, soft material and walk-friendly
February 22, 2011

I found the cat to be a perfect fit, and since I tend to get very cold and walk around a lot, I needed something that would keep me very warm but also not get in the way of my feet. This coat is just that. The material is soft so it is a pleasure to feel, and it is so lightweight I forget I am wearing a coat.

Pros: Ease of use, Great value
Comfort: 4 / 5

Good Down Parka
February 21, 2011

This is a great option for anyone wanting a 'longer' down coat, but not one below the knee. I'm 5'4" and 122 lb. with a fairly athletic build (very wide shoulders) and although I like extra long sleeves and wouldn't mind another inch in the sleeve, it fits well and is supper comfy. Its is incredibly warm for the a very light weight jacket. I haven't had it long enough to comment on the durability, but so far so good.

Pros: Great design
