Cute and versatile hat.
April 30, 2012

I have worn this hat on a few trips now. I love that I have 2 looks, thus versatile on the beach and the trail. It packs well into a suitcase or backpack. It has a nice wide brim that keeps most of my face and neck shaded. I've washed it a few times and still retains it's shape. Only complaint is that there isn't a strap to keep it on my head when it's super windy or on a boat ride. Otherwise, I really like it.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, Cons: no strap for windy days.

Good sun hat
February 09, 2012

I've used this hat many times since buying it. It's a good in-between size for people who are looking for something with more protection than the tiny brim a baseball cap or fedora provides, but without the hassle of a bulky wide-brim hat. It's one of the better looking OR hats, but I wouldn't call it a fashionable option, if that's what you're looking for. I think I may have ordered a size too large, since I've had the wind blow this hat right off my head at least 3 times, but aside from that, no complaints here!

Great hat
August 02, 2011

I've worn this hat for boating, hiking, and other outdoor summer adventures and love that it stays on my head without a drawstring. Like it better than Columbia hat I ordered and returned. It is reversible and lightweight.

Bought hat for someone who gets headaches from the sun - good investment! The hat is not too heavy and the colors do not absorb the sun's rays. The style of hat requires no chin strap - would recommend.

cute hat

Due to some medical conditions I needed a hat with a wide brim and SPF protection. Cute hat, fits very well, and price on sale was attractive to me. I like the variety offered by Altrec for hats.

Favorite OR hat
May 29, 2011

I prefer to buy OR hats, because they provide different sizes (I have a relatively small head). They have different functions - waterproof, big brim (sombrero), but this is my favorite for everyday use. It's the most comfortable and attractive of the OR hats. It stays on surprisingly well, even though there is no chin strap - probably because of the 'bucket' shape. I also have many non-OR hats (mostly helen kaminski and eric javits), and this Arroyo hat is much less expensive and equally attractive and more functional.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great value
