Fabulous jacket
February 23, 2011
I realized that my layers for camping just weren't enough for cold weather trips and that I needed a lightweight jacket that I could bring--even on backpacking trips. I just used the jacket this past weekend for a camping trip to Catalina Island, and I was really pleased with it! We had a lot of rain and wind, but the Breva jacket fit perfectly under my rain jacket and kept me nice and toasty. As other people have mentioned, it does run a bit large. I have a small torso and got an extra small. It fits fairly well (could be a bit more snug), and actually the extra space makes room for other layers underneath, which is nice. All in all, it's a great jacket!
Pros: Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, Cons: runs a bit largeNice Jacket

I really like this jacket; however I would recommend sizing 1 size down. (normally I'm a medium, and I got a small) I love how long the sleeves are! Normally sleeves barely hit my wrists, but this comes down to my knuckles!! :) Perfect! It is very light weight, but warm. Very easy to move in. Looks nice, and doesn't have the overly puffy look some jackets currently do on the market. I also love that this is Primaloft - no dead bird feathers! Highly recommend. oh - and this thing can totally be stuffed down inside a small bag (comes with the bag) Looks great even after being stuffed.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of useGreat Jacket

I got this after trying on various down jackets/sweaters, which all were too puffy looking. I LOVE the look, feel and function of this jacket. It is perfect for most but the coldest of winter weather here in the Seattle area. I can throw a shell over it for rain, skiing or hiking, or just wear it around town. I like the cut, color (deep purple) and I like that there will not be any feathers to pop through it. I find its true to size.
Pros: Great design, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, Cons: no hoodExcellent jacket

I have tried many light weight jackets for travel to Europe. Traveling light but staying warm is a priority. This jacket is amazingly warm and yet feels like you are NOT wearing outerwear, it is attractive in it's cut and very flattering.
