Light weight wool
This is a very light weight wool . It's quite comfortable and breathes & drapes well. I wear the black under a vest for casual evenings, and the neptune to add a color to my black ski layers. The large runs a bit small across the chest. The x-large runs a bit oversized but it's fine because of the drape. Feels like a tee shirt that just happens to be wool. Works for me.
The short sleeve Essential Tee is constructed the same material.

great top

This top is a great alternative to all synthetic material and fits true to size. Lightweight and perfect for fall jaunts, and the odor guard seems to work!

Great shirt
I bought this shirt for my girlfriend and she loves it. I was a little stressed about it being wool but she says that it is extremely comfortable. She wears it well and it's OR so you know that it's made well. I would recommend.

Nice Shirt
I ordered the eggplant in S (5'4" 125lbs). Love the color and nice material! The body fits well but the arms are a little baggier than other shirts. Excited to wear it this winter!

Great fabric & fit
I bought one, then bought another. The fit is not as tight as many tops, and the wool does really help with odor control. There aren't many of these left out there in many sizes, so I would grab one while you can.

Not as close fitting and comfy as I was looking for
I was trying to replace an Outdoor Research "Harmony" 1/2 zip top. For cross country skiing, snowshoeing and a good looking going to town shirt the" Harmony " was great. However the Essence zip tee did not have the close fit and comfy feel. The Essence does not fit and flatter the body as well. I have other wool blend pieces that have a more attractive fit. The Essence is a bit boxy .

AWESOME
I WAS LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO RUN IN DURING THE EARLY MORNINGS AND THIS SHIRT FIT THE TEE. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THE VERY LARGE TAG ON THE INSIDE OF THE SHIRT THAT IS IRRITATING. BESIDES THAT I LOVE THE SHIRT AND MAY BE BUYING ANOTHER ONE.

Great for Winter Hiking
I have been looking for a winter hiking shirt for some time and have stayed away from most wool products as it's not too cold where I live. I ordered this shirt with low expectations and was suprised by how much I like it. It keeps me both warm and cool on the trails. In fact I liked it so much I ordered a second one! I found the sizing to be right on.

Great winter layering shirt.
I decided to switch from synthetics to wool this winter and I started with this shirt. I have not regretted the decision and I am now looking for more wool base layers. I crew on Lake Union in WA and the cold starts on the water can become warm fast. The OR Essence shirt keeps me warm long enough for the first part of practice and keeps me cool for the rest of it. The shirt fit a little larger than I expected. I am usually a small and had to get an extra small. The shirt measures approximately 45cm(18inches) from underarm to underarm when laid flat.
