Description

Set the slopes on fire in your Women's Outdoor Research Igneo Jacket. Designed to burn it up both inbounds and in the sidecountry this moderately insulated jacket has features aplenty. The insulation is mapped, with more in areas likely to get cold, and less in areas of protection or high perspiration. Fully seam sealed and waterproof and breathable, you get a zip off helmet compatible hood, elastic cuffs with hook and loop tabs, and a removable powder skirt, all aiming to keep you warm and comfortable. The relaxed fit lets you slide layers underneath, while the articulated elbows help the jacket flow with you, there are also pit zips if you start to overheat. The integrated RECCO® reflector is always on, and aids rescuers if you become lost or incapacitated, but you should be able to self extricate with all the supplies you'll be able to carry in the endless pockets. Be prepared for anything, in your Igneo Jacket for women from Outdoor Research.

Great Jacket with Great Features
February 14, 2011

I purchased this jacket prior to going on a snowboarding trip to CO. The jacket was ordered just a few days before and it got to me in time! Excellent shipping! Before, purchasing the jacket I had looked at lots of others, but none of them had all the great features of the Igneo! I love the upzip, ability to detach the hood/powder skirt, pit zips, multiple pockets....I could go on, but you get the idea. I'm 5'6" and 150lbs and bought the large. I wanted it a little roomier, but could have worn the Medium for a slimmer fit and been just fine! The only things I didn't like are; if you are wearing it somewhere cold, plan on wearing a softshell underneath - otherwise you may get cold, and the little ID pocket on the inside at the bottom isn't really deep enough. I almost lost my ID! Otherwise, a really great jacket! I'd buy it again! The Eggplant color with Red accents - cool!

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, upzip, detachable hood, pit zips, Cons: needs layering

love my jacket
October 17, 2010

I love the looks of this jacket. It fits me perfect and seems really warm. The quality seem really good and looks very well made. I never got the chance to try it out yet since it's too warm where I live to wear it. I can't wait to try it out when we go snow boarding in December.

Just what I've been looking for
November 14, 2011

I had a list of must have's for my new jacket and the Igneo Jacket had all the features I was looking for. I decided I wanted a shell but love that it has a light lining of insulation. It is just perfect on mild winter days worn alone. It is roomy enough to layer my down sweater under it for colder days. The underarm zips are a must and the hood has nice pull cord adjustments for a good fit with visability. The waterproof/windproof features are great on the slopes to keep dry and warm. It is light weight and not bulky. Comfortable for every day bumming around town too. Very versitile. The medium is a perfect fit for my 5'7" 138# frame. Also great sleeve length. I have longer arms and sometimes find the arm length too short, but this fits great.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Cons: Cost
