An excellent jacket overall that is attractive and waterproof
March 10, 2010
So far an excellent jacket. During our last rainstorm the jacket proved to waterproof yet breathable. Its also very lightweight (not going to keep you warm) and very attractive. The only fault is that when the hood is being used in the rain, the area where the hood attaches to the jacket can collect water but its still waterproof.
Works Great! Looks Fabulous

Been on a hike and a rafting trip so far. Impressed with zippers and seams. Blocks wind very well. Haven't rain tested yet. Hat adjusts well with out blocking vision. Love the feminine look.
Great for wet and windy conditions!

I wore this recently going to Walt Disney World with rainy and windy conditions. I was dry and comfortable the whole time. However, it does not insulate and you would need another layer to keep warm. The fit is true and loose enough for a heavy sweater underneath.
Great lightweight jacket

Purchased this for my wife. She loves it; waterproof, wind breaker and not bulky. Looks great on her. She has other great jackets like Arcteryx but wanted something a little lighter to have on hand in case weather got nasty - this jacket is perfect.

It really is perfect.

I love this jacket. Perfect outer layer. The sizes run true. I'm an 8-10 and the medium fits over a heavy sweater or vest easily. The double zippers allow lots of warmth or ventilation as need. The seams are taped and it's both windproof and waterproof. What more could I ask? Maybe for another.
It's all good except I ordered the wrong size.

I ordered a large as usual to accommodate underlayers, but I'm sending it back for a medium because there is ample shoulder room. Fern is an awesome color, not too bright or dull. The jacket really protects from the elements while feeling incredibly light! Love the torso-flo side zips. Hood can can be adjusted to fit and it folds really flat into the collar.

A great waterproof jacket. It seems to be very well made. The packet's taped seams and shell have kept me dry in driving rain conditions. The shell is very breathable and side zippers do provide ventilation. The hood works very well too which is something I have seen overlooked in other jackets. Fit is very good with just enough length to cover but not too long to get in the way.
Liked all but the 2-color combination

I'm 5'6" and small/medium build. I ordered a medium size, and it was a bit big, but would allow extra layers underneath. I liked the hood, since it did a great job of covering my head without severely blocking side views. I liked the side ventilation zippers. The jacket is easily packable--taking up only a small amount of space. The only thing I really didn't like was the fact that the color of the side and underarm panels was significantly darker than the rest of the coat. (I had ordered the aster/berry color.) When I ordered the jacket, I had noticed in the photo on the web site that the panels would be darker, but when I received the jacket, the panels were much darker than I thought they'd be & not exactly a good color combination with the lighter color of the rest of the jacket. I chose to return the jacket mostly due to the 2-color combination. At the time I ordered, there wasn't another color choice in my size that I wanted, so I opted not to reorder this jacket.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Great value, Cons: poor 2-color combinationAlready own the Outdoor Research Reflexa Jacket? Tell us your thoughts.
