Unless you remain in the desert or tropics, it's almost impossible to wear shorts every day of the spring and summer. That's why the durable Supplex® nylon fabric on this low-rise Outdoor Research Venture Pant is so ideal for temperate climate trails. The durable material is fast drying and treated with a DWR finish so it sheds moisture as you walk beneath the soggy forest canopy, but it's also UPF rated to 30+, providing considerable UV protection in the sunshine above the treeline. Outdoor Research designed the Venture Pant with articulated knees and a gusseted crotch for excellent freedom of movement while hiking and climbing. An integrated belt at the waist eliminates the need to find accessories--especially after the week's diet of freeze-dried cuisine. Four mesh-lined pockets keep your outdoor essentials in order. You might need several shorts to get you through the long summer, but the Outdoor Research Venture Pant could be the only pant you'll need in the backcountry this season.
