A GORE-TEX® liner and lighter insulation across the leather palms give the Women's Outdoor Research Southback Gloves excellent tactile feel on your pole grips and bomber durability. The mid-length gauntlet is big enough to fit over your jacket cuff, or the DuoCinch™ closure can easily compress it enough to fit under your cuff. A soft wipe on the thumb works as a great chamois for your goggles when the “powder” has PNW water content, and the idiot cords keep you from skiing the bumps under the lift instead of the powder off the backside.

  • Shell: Waterproof/breathable GORE-TEX® insert
  • Durable nylon across back of hand and gauntlet Palm:
  • Leather palm; wraps around fngertips and thumb and finger sidewalls Insulation:
  • EnduraLoft™insulation: 227 g on back of hand; 113 g on palm
  • Soft tricot lining
  • FlexAction™wrist articulation matches the natural, active-hand position while skiing
  • Soft nose wipe on thumb
  • DuoCinch™gauntlet closure
  • Removable Idiot Cord

Cannot go wrong with these.
November 10, 2012

Did a lot of research on gloves. Came to the conclusion that you cannot go wrong with Outdoor Research, and I was right. These gloves are comfy, not too warm, yet very adequate. I would rate them as a less-warm version of the Northback gloves. These gloves work well for winter skiing in the Rockies, as long as the temperature doesnt drop to something absurd below 0F. Overall, highly reccommend.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value
